Only 18% of voters think brexit is going "well"

The thing is we havent reached bottom yet.

This I also fear. A good indicator is the not existing responsibility of Germany for whatever situation in England. Some British journalists asked our chancellor in spe Mr. Scholz whether he would be ready to send German trucks to England. First of all is such a question stupid because the chancellor of Germany is no carrier - and second was the interpretation of his answer much more stupid "He hates England more than Angela Merkel hated GB".

They still havent resolved the Irish border.

What's a serios problem.

Probably because there is no answer to that question.

Most people in GB are convinced that one day North Ireland and Ireland will be a united island again. But no one likes to go this easy way. Hundreds of years British wars against Ireland and the partially extremely brutal supression of the Irish population had been totally superflous in this case - what on the other side in all this hundreds of years also everyone was able to know.

When the bombs start exploding they might wake up.

I will never understand this conflict. But one thing is clear: The EU is Irish - and this was not our decision - this was the decision of Great Britain.

Brexit is suffering from the same thing Trump suffered from. Greedy globalists and elitists have sabotaged every move to derail anything that will jeopardize their ability to steal and rig anything they can use to gain money or power. Brexit, like Trump, puts the people first and the robber barons in the establishment hate that.

Or with other words. The USA manipulated the Brexit - what everyone knows. And although the Brits know this they agree with this manipulation because they are brave slaves of the USA.

..I've never lived in Great Britain, [ Europe ] but I can tell you, I know a lot more about it than you

Stick with it Brexit supporters...don't let them push you away from national sovereignty for the UK....
The remnant of ideologically-driven crackpots who are flailing their pom poms for having absconded from the mutually-beneficial accommodation with neighbours are doing so amidst increasingly bleak consequences:

Britain Is Heading Into a Nightmarish Winter

Oct. 1, 2021
Long lines outside gas stations. Panicked drivers fighting one another as the pumps run dry. Soldiers deployed to distribute fuel across the country. And in the background, the pandemic stretching on, food rotting in fields and families sinking into poverty. This is Britain in 2021...
The signs of breakdown are everywhere: empty shelves in supermarkets, food going to waste in fields, more and more vacancy posters tacked to the windows of shops and restaurants. Meat producers have even called on the government to let them hire prisoners to plug the gap.

One of the main causes of this predicament is Brexit, or at least the government’s handling of Brexit. Britain’s protracted departure from the bloc... led to an exodus of European workers — a process then compounded by the pandemic. As many as 1.3 million overseas nationals left Britain between July 2019 and September 2020.
Yet as it became clear that Britain faced substantial shortages in labor, the Conservatives refused to respond. They bloviated, calling it a “manufactured situation.” They prevaricated, assuring the public there was nothing to worry about. And, seeing the chance to recast their negligence as benevolence, they claimed their failure to act was because they wanted companies to pay British workers more instead of rely on cheap foreign labor.
This alibi for inaction is unconvincing. In the Netherlands, for example, new legislation has improved the pay and working conditions for truck drivers. In Britain, conditions remain among the worst in Europe.

53% of British people now think Brexit is going badly, poll says,

after empty shelves and fuel shortages hit the UK

Maybe BREXIT was a bad idea.

Maybe The British People aren't ready for sovereignty.

Maybe it's better for England to be a vassal state of the EU.

Let's face it. Freedom is hard. It comes with consequences and a truly free people can only blame themselves for their failures.

Not every people have it in them to live free. They need the overseer.
It was never about "sovereignty" we had that all along. This whole farce kicked off when the EU decided to close tax avoidance loopholes for the very rich.

London may refuse to establish a customs border between the N Ireland and Britain. What will the EU do in response? Make the Rep of Ireland close the border from their part? I don't think Dublin will comply.

A what? In June 2016 - 5 years ago - the Brits decided something 52:48 (~50:50) what was on a mysterious reason interpreted as the will of all Brits to leave the EU, although all Brits who had lived 15 years and longer not on the territory of Great Britain was taken their right to vote.

The Brits had 2 years time to leave the EU - they needed 4½ years to do so while the EU was - and is - unbelievable patient with GB.
The EU have been incredibly patient while the UK tries to find its way out of the mess. Basically the UK wants full access to EU markets without contributing anything in return.
Thats never going to happen. But boris is such a self obsesssed wanker he doesnt care. He will see thousands of bodies piled up in the streets before that happens. Just like he did with his covid "plan"

Well under the terms of the withdrawal there has to be a border somewhere.
There are only two places it can go. In the Irish Sea which wont be acceptable to the Unionists or on the Ulster border which wont be acceptable to the Catholics.

Neither solution is fair to the other party. Remember these are people who put down their guns after centuries of fighting and have been betrayed by Boris and the eton mess.

The GFA now looks like a masterstroke of diplomacy in solving a huge problem.

Yes, but it may be that the Brits will refuse to impose a strict birder in either place. Informally, of course. Finding new and new reasons not to do so. The main question what can Brussels do in response? Or more correctly, whether it can do something at all.

We heard all of this same BS before the Brexit vote....people value national sovereignty over anything else....and they should....

Post of the month...absolutely right....

Brits are increasingly aware that they were sold on a rotten deal.

The ideological dogmatism of some may require that they deny or ignore its demonstrable consequences, but those upon whom it was inflicted are dealing in reality.

A bit of wishful thinking on your part I do believe mate.....

In the end, the EU was just an unsuccessful experiment, dreamed up by the rich and connected, with the intention of increasing their wealth and power. Britain, trying to escape EU rule, is just like the US trying to get out from under rule by our bureaucracy, ie. the swamp.

We heard all of this same BS before the Brexit vote....people value national sovereignty over anything else....and they should....
Our cars dont run on sovereignty, maybe you should shut up and listen to people who have a better grasp on reality than you do.

They cant look the other way. Brexit was all about imposing a border around GB. If you close it at Dover it just moves to Dublin.

And they must be on crack.
Not one part of the UK or its economy is actually performing. And remember that they still havent found an answer to the GFA yet. 5 years down the line. Where is your oven ready deal blojob ?
The UK is now in its proper place as a minor, insignificant country with a failed economy devoid of international influence.

I think that Ireland will virtually be in a single trade area with the UK.
