One positive purpose served by the Flat Earth Movement and supporters,
this shows that even Science is faith based.

Forever have believers in God and Bible argued with
atheists and secularists, who demand scientific proof,
that Science also requires some degree of FAITH to believe
the conclusions, laws and theories are true, and won't suddenly change or prove false later.

Now I realize that the Flat Earthers prove
how "faith based" science really is!

Because you can take all the proof in the world
that the earth is round, and these followers
still don't have faith that's the truth, but believe
there is manipulation and ulterior motives for pushing that
propaganda or agenda.

Because of their LACK of faith in the sources of
"scientific proof" they don't believe the earth is spherical,
or they question it and don't take it on FAITH.

So this proves the point that religious arguments
have made, that all we know or believe is based
to some degree on FAITH.

And if you don't believe THAT, that proves
it again, how much we know or believe is always based on faith,
and we could always be wrong, and can't say for sure because
things could change or turn out to be something else....

I don't believe the Earth is round. I know the Earth is round.

How do I know?

Well, on a boat you can't see the other side of the sea. If it were flat, you'd be able to see it.

In an airplane at 40,000 feet you can see the Earth isn't flat.

I've been to timezones from US East Coast all the way around to Japan. I know in Japan the sun sets a different time to the US. I've suffered jet lag from 10 hour journeys, I've woken up at 3am going west, I've struggled to wake up going east.

I don't need to believe. I have a brain.

Wouldn't a lot of people fall off the earth if it were flat (like a pancake). Maybe that is where all the missing people are, children walking off the earth and finding themselves in outer space.

I truly know the sun never sets.

Slow day?
Most Flat-Earthers are also moon-landing deniers.

I need to be a-unchambering rounds and stuff.

No.

Making a determination based on evidence is not faith. It is the opposite of faith.

Up until this post I thought you somewhat rational. You have made the word 'pretzel' obsolete. That story has more twists than Inception. If you began a maze with that story not only would you never get through you'd never even meet David Bowie. That post was M.C. Escher-esk and even M.C. Escher would never figure it out. Pablo Picasso wants to know how you put that together because it makes no sense to him. Jesus read that and turned to Judas and said "da fuq?".
