Once again, Venezuela "Feeling the Bern" of socialism

That's a joke, right? Because Venezuela's problem is not falling oil revenue (although that is a problem). Their problem is a socialist command economy.

You are ignorant. Venezuela does not have a command economy.

Economy of Venezuela - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The World Factbook

Yes it does. All prices are set by the government. All wages are set by the government. What to produce and how much to produce is set by the government, even though it's rules are pure fantasy.

So by your definition when Nixon set wage and price controls we had a command economy?

No, that is as silly as saying that Sanders is a communist.

No. It's what the definition is. When you start dictating how much people make, and how much products are allowed to sell for.... I'm not sure what other definition of command economy you would use.

That's MY point. You raise and raise the tax rate, driving more and more employees, and employers into the shadow economy.

The economy does not function nearly as well in the shadows, for obvious reasons, than it does in the legitimate economy. When Bernie Sanders says he want to have free health care, and business to pay for it.... free education and the top 1% to pay for it.....

HELLO!?!?!?! Greece anyone?

You keep making my point for me. And then pathetically, acting like you made a great argument. That's funny.

Same is true in Venezuela. Tax rates, and regulations like price controls, have driven a ton of the economy into the shadows, with a massive black market. You complain that Venezuela nationalized oil companies, but even so, with that much oil produced, they could run oil burning electric generators to keep the lights no. But they can't. Their economy is so screwed up, they can't even pay people to use their own oil, to keep the power on. Everyone is leaving, or working in the black market.

As Indicated before, Greece has less corp tax, compared to USA..........

With your logic, all corps in the USA should be evading tax, and it would be just natural.

I guess that shows your morality, more than anything..................

Taxation, the theft of ones earnings, is immoral. That is what shows my morality.

Who do you think you are fooling? Greece corporate tax rates are lower? Are you a moron? Are you an idiot? What the heck is your problem? You intentionally being stupid? Or is this just a natural absolute mental deficiency on your part?

If corporate tax was the only tax on the planet, then yeah, Greece would be an investors paradice.

Welcome to socialist reality stupid....

Reynolds says Greek taxes on labor and capital are “brutal.” And indeed they are. The corporate tax rate is 26%, the personal income tax rate is 46%, the sales tax — or value-added tax — is 23%, and the social security tax is 42.01%. No wonder Greeks avoid the tax man.
Greece makes US taxes look like a paradise. And even then, it's not taxes alone that cause all the problems. Regulations drive investors away, and business out of the country.

"Red Tape, X-Rays and 'Speed Tax'? It's Business in Greece" by Daley, Suzanne - International Herald Tribune, March 16, 2012 | Online Research Library: Questia

It took 10 months of crisscrossing the city to collect dozens of forms and stamps of approval, including proof that he was up to date on his pension contributions, before he could get started. But that was not enough. In perhaps the strangest twist of all, his shareholders were required by the Health Department to submit to lung X-rays and stool samples.

Before the banks would agree to act as a clearinghouse for credit cards, they insisted that portions of the OliveShop's Web site, including the company's marketing and privacy policies, be written exclusively in Greek, no matter how hard Mr. Antonopoulos tried to explain that his customers would not understand Greek.

"We kept trying to tell them that the idea was to export -- that customers might be Chinese and they wouldn't understand," he said, throwing up his hands. "It was useless."
By the way, most banks are owned by the Greek government.

So what have we learned, socialist regulations and controls, supposedly to help prevent the evil corporations from harming citizens, results in citizens not having jobs.

"Oh but corporate tax is lower!" Blaw blaw blaw blaw... Only an idiot looks at a train wreck and goes... "Dur yeah, but wreck trains emit less carbon!". Morons. You are a moron.

No, this is not about TAX...
This is about morality.

Morality is some set of rules, that make it possible for people to be able live together in harmony. If a society lacks of it, then it becomes corrupt, then it "collapse". Just like in Greece.

The base of morality is the belief that some common set of rules do in fact exist, and that it will protect the society from corruption. More people believe that, more people are moral, therefore the society will be more moral, therefore it will corrupt less.

The basic moral rule in this country is; Rule of Law.

Because a Constitution, which pretty much what makes this country possible as it is today, and in the past, and in the future; can not be created, without it.

And if the tax is the law
You respect the law

Because you have all the means of democracy to change the law, if you didn't like it...

If you cant change the law

You fucking RESPECT the law.............

Here is your UNITED STATES of AMERICA citizenship class for today.............................................................................

God bless AMERICA........

That's totally wrong. Everything you said was wrong. Morality is not the same as laws.

Morality is something above the law. We know this, because if you really believe that Morality and rules are the same, then there was nothing wrong with slavery. There was nothing wrong with abusing wives. There was nothing wrong with confiscating the land of poor people, for public interest.

All of these things we consider morally wrong, even though they were legally right.

Morals and rules are not the same.

Taking people's rightfully earned money, is morally wrong. Legally it's fine.

When you impose morally wrong laws on people, you end up with black markets, and people paid under the table, and shadow economies.

This is what you people on the left never get about your "socialist democracy" crap. Just because you vote for it, doesn't mean it's right. Anymore than people voting to impose slavery would mean it's right.

When you take people's money, and regulate their business, and control the economy... people are going to go into the black market.

That's a fact. You can be angry and bitter about the facts, but they are the facts.

Minimum wage fuels Germany's underground economy | Business | DW.COM | 03.02.2015

Germany for the fist time in history, imposed a minimum wage just last year 2015. Now this year, for the first time in almost a decade, the shadow economy is growing.

Same thing that happened in Greece. The German regulations and controls and taxes, are not nearly as bad as Greece, and so the effect isn't nearly as dramatic as Greece.

But it is exactly as I said before. Every baby step towards Socialism, has bad results. Big steps, big bad results. Every move away from Socialism has good results.

You can get angry, stomp your feet, and scream about how YOU think it's morally wrong... but the facts are the facts. You either learn from the facts, and accept the facts... or remain a bitter angry person. Your choice. Because reality isn't changing just because you don't like it.

Where did you learn history? At the butcher?

1860, Republican Abe wins the elections, in which people vote, so that they can change things they didn't agree on, like slavery.
And he wanted to make the will of his voters true, a free country.
But southern states forget their morals, didn't respect the law, and rebel against the law.

And everybody knows what happened to the rebels at the end.

And let me tell you this, if you wanted to rebel in this country, your support will not be anything more than 5%.

If you want to fight, I am sure betting on your opposition, because you aint winning that fight........
And you know that very well too......

Thats why, my suggestion to you
Dont fight wars that you cant win

Does Greece sound like a better option for you now?

You make no sense

When people in a democratic country, like the United States of America, agree on a law, everybody expected to respect the law.

I didnt say morality is the same as the law, but that its rule is: rule of law, which means, you are expected to respect the law.

So the most basic and most important morality in this country is; respect the law

You may not like the law,
You can criticize the law,
You can try to change the law by many ways available to you,
this is a free democratic country,

but if you don't respect the law,
if you try to get around the law,
that makes you an un-American,
that makes you a criminal

Are you an un-American?

Because if you are, there are a lot of other countries that you don't have to respect anything what so ever, like GREECE.

Ever considered moving there?

Apparently nobody pays any tax over there, even tho its the law, perfect fit for you.........
And you claim the private sector is booming there too,
because they unlawfully avoided taxation,
why you still waiting?

God bless America!

Right. So everyone agreed with Slavery, and therefore it was morally right. Yes or no?

People of this country didnt agree, "fought" against slavery. Thats how morally wrong it was.

You gonna fight against tax?

I really wonder how many of you there are. We will se in the upcoming elections I guess...

They did vote for slavery.

And it was the law.

Was the law morally right, or not?

And they fought against the law, because the law was morally wrong.

The people in Greece are in fact fighting against the taxes and regulations, and they are doing so by simply refusing to pay them.

That's called "passive resistance."

No its not
Thats called "active robbery"
And its a crime

Try doing it in the US, and you will see what I mean....

Dude.... what are you talking about?? We already have people who avoid paying taxes on stuff RIGHT NOW.... all across this country, to this very day.

I personally... right now can take you to a guy who works as a mechanic, everyone knows he does.... and he doesn't pay tax on jack. That's why he refuses checks or credit. You want your car fixed, you show up with cash.

When I worked at the auto parts store, there were a group of Mexican mechanics, that worked all the time... FOR CASH... because they were not paying tax.

You people...... you live in your silly left-wing dream world, where you can just raise tax, and raise tax, and pretend that everyone is just going to deal with it.

I can tell you about people who works a plumbers, and HVAC... cash only. No advertisements. You pay upfront, and they fix your stuff. They dont' pay tax.

What are you people SMOKING?!?!?
How Big Are Underground Payrolls? Try $2 Trillion

The shadow economy in the US is estimated at $2 Trillion dollars a year.

Again.... you can live in your fantasy world, but the fact is, the more left-wingers drive up tax and spend policies, the more people will turn to the underground economy. Just like Germany. Just like Greece. Just like Venezuela. Just like every single country that has ever tried socialism.

And you'll be b!tching and moaning about how immoral they are. Blaw blaw blaw.

But it won't change anything. You people never learn. 100 years of this nonsense, and you NEVER LEARN.

No no no, if anybody is BITCHING here, it is you BITCHING about your taxes, for the last 10 pages.

Majority, but a CRUSHING majority of 95% of the people in this country think paying taxes is the moral thing to do.

And 80% think it is morally wrong to avoid tax

This country is still strong because the amount of people who pay their fair share of taxes, CRUSH the amount of people like you.

But on the other hand; lice will always be lice....

In Greece, its vice versa btw, majority people think avoiding tax law is fine, just like you.
Thats the whole reason why they are corrupt, and they are at the bottom of the barrel now...
Because of people like you.

So; as long as you dont multiply, US will be just as strong and fine...

You still don't get it. It doesn't matter. None of that matters. You can claim all you want that you have the majority with you. Doesn't matter.

The total US GDP is only $16.7 Trillion. The Shadow economy has grown to $2 Trillion, and is rising.

Do you not understand what that means? Nearly 11% of the entire US economy is now underground.

All your polls, and all your claims, all mean nothing do they? The number is rising. More and more people, are moving into the shadow economy every year.

And the numbers look far worse than you could imagine, if you sample merely for unreported income.

24%. Nearly 1 in every 4 people, is not reporting their income, to avoid paying taxes.

Now of course this is people who actually admitted it. Meaning the number is likely higher.

In other words.... all your grand standing.... is all BS. Yeah, people might say it when they are polled, or asked by a tele-pollster. But in reality.... it's not nearly as much a slam dunk as you claim.

Yeah, the vast majority support paying taxes today. And that will remain the case, as long as you don't jack up taxes and regulations like Greece.

The moment you do.... all that moral superiority will go right out the window, just like Greece, Venezuela, Russia, Cuba, Ecuador, and the list goes on.

But you are missing the fact that Greece has LOWER corp tax compared to the US, and corp still avoided tax in grand scale.

And as you have already accepted, majority of the people avoiding tax in this country, are not citizens, but illegal immigrants in the first place......

"Greece has dozens of taxes that are vastly higher than the US."

Yes yes yes, and you havent named even one yet...

"But all of them were born, and bred American citizens, working and operating in the shadow economy."

Yup, and as I said, they are only 5%

Since you cant go to your manager and ask for some money "under the table" when you are on a w2, you should be self employed to be able to avoid tax the way you have seen it done

Only 10% of the Americans are self-employed

The reason the numbers have been rising is that in the last decade illegal immigration was on the rise
It is the illegal immigrants who work "under the table", because they cant work otherwise

I bet most of them would be paying their taxes, if they could...

1860, Republican Abe wins the elections, in which people vote, so that they can change things they didn't agree on, like slavery.
And he wanted to make the will of his voters true, a free country.
But southern states forget their morals, didn't respect the law, and rebel against the law.

Lincoln wanted to protect slavery int he South with a constitutional amendment to guarantee slavery in perpetuity in order to avoid a long and bloody civil war. He had no intention of eradicating slavery by force and thought it would have died off by itself, and I think he was probably right. Machines are far cheaper to operate and maintain than slaves were.

And everybody knows what happened to the rebels at the end.

Yeah, they became immortalized the world over as the epitome of rebellion against the modern industrial machine and you see it used by foreign rebels across the globe.

That is because the South fought so well and so effectively against astronomical odds that when the Union generals in Virginia heard that Lee was prepared to surrender, these 19th century macho veterans of one of our nations bloodiest wars openly wept for joy.

Thats why, my suggestion to you
Dont fight wars that you cant win

Bullshit. There are far more reasons to fight a war other than winning.

Sometimes you just have to make a statement;

Come and Get Them!

Nuts!

It is Far Better to Die Free Men than to Live as Slaves.

Of course none of that makes any sense to libtards.

You make no sense

When people in a democratic country, like the United States of America, agree on a law, everybody expected to respect the law.

I didnt say morality is the same as the law, but that its rule is: rule of law, which means, you are expected to respect the law.

Taxation is robbery. Look up the definition. It makes taking stuff from someone that doesn't belong to you. That's what government does. Avoiding taxation is avoiding robbery.

"We think slavery a great moral wrong, and while we do not claim the right to touch it where it exists, we wish to treat it as a wrong in the territories, where our votes will reach it."
-March 1860-

And he is elected as the president of the United States, in November.

So the votes he got, reached his ideas to all United States, including south...

Yeah, they became immortalized the world over as the epitome of rebellion against the modern industrial machine and you see it used by foreign rebels across the globe.

Yup, they are immortalized as the scum of the earth terrorists, who represent everything thats despicable to our modern civilization...

The only "rebels" that see them as the epitome of anything is the ISIS, fighting for practically the same reasons as the southern terrorists...

Bullshit. There are far more reasons to fight a war other than winning.

Sometimes you just have to make a statement;

Come and Get Them!

Nuts!

It is Far Better to Die Free Men than to Live as Slaves.

Of course none of that makes any sense to libtards.

"There are far more reasons to fight a war"

Correct, like liberty, freedom, democracy...

But if you are fighting a war for slavery, you already lost that war the time you started to fight it my friend.
Because 100 years later, people will look at you as the scum of this earth, even if you have won that battle.

There are very little that can sink below the confederation and their war for slavery.
If there were no jihadist terrorism, nor the nazi germany, the confederation would be the deepest sink hole of the civilized society...

Right. So everyone agreed with Slavery, and therefore it was morally right. Yes or no?

The people in Greece are in fact fighting against the taxes and regulations, and they are doing so by simply refusing to pay them.

That's called "passive resistance."

No its not
Thats called "active robbery"
And its a crime

Try doing it in the US, and you will see what I mean....

Taxation is robbery. Look up the definition. It makes taking stuff from someone that doesn't belong to you. That's what government does. Avoiding taxation is avoiding robbery.

Your opinion.

However, majority of the American people disagree.

Therefore; you have to pay your taxes, even if you dont like it...

So, it ouwld appear you have bought and swallowed hole the Social Marxist Revision of the Civil War history.

The South did not, as a whole, fight for the cause of slavery.

They fought for the freedom to pursue their own course of action when it was apparent that the North could elect a President that had zero favor in the South.

The rest of your horseshit is just you talking out of your large intestine.
