Absolutely. I'll see if i can break down a little more for you.I gave you the example of "Morning in America" but you are hunkering down with a bunker mentality. I can't see how that is supposed to motivate people without having an invading army at our border.
One one side, you've got Obama and his congress, pushing unpopular legislation. Not just health care but also cap and trade and just deficit spending in general.
On the other, you've got the republicans, who pretty much are going to tell you nothing other than that they oppose Obama and his congress.
If you're scared of or just plain don't want higher taxes and more pervasive government via these policies, then who are you going to go out and vote for? The GOP is banking on more people being scared of or not wanting this legislation, and it's a pretty smart bet considering the polls right now. Because of this, they're going to do everything they can to keep that sentiment alive until November so scared or angry people will come out and try to stop the democrats... via voting the republicans back in.
I don't like it any more than you do and i'd like to feel a lot more confident in my impending republican votes, but i'll fully admit that i'd rather take the republicans and their mis-management than the democrats' mis-management because it's likely to try to get more control over my life.
