Is he aware that WE as human beings are carbon based? Does that mean the elimination of all manual labor? :cuckoo:

Commerce Secretary nominee John Bryson believes we need to begin moving immediately towards the elimination of all carbon-based power production

John Bryson, President Obama's nominee to head the Commerce Department, told a UN energy conference in 2009 that a global wealth redistribution program was needed to keep poor people in developing countries from using their own forest resources.

"What we've got to do is find ways to map out the affected lands, to develop plans for addressing them, find economic models in which the people who are driven to do these things to try to raise the livelihoods of their families, find alternative means," Bryson said in laying out his vision for stopping people in poor countries from cutting down forests.

"Training of peoples, to maybe help in supporting this, development of law enforcement regimes, development of strong governance practices, all of those things have to be done," Bryson continued.

This guy is even loonier than Obama! And this will be our Commerce Secretary???????? :cuckoo:

2012 can't come soon enough!

It will create jobs....c'mon get with the program.
We all know that Green energy so far has been a godsend in cheap-efficient energy.
Man.

But whatever you do, DON'T YOU CALL THE GREAT OBAMA, a RADICAL.

I sure hope we SURVIVE this administration folks.

This is what you get when you fall for juvenile nonsense like "Hope and Change". Nothing surprising here folks... you get a bunch of juveniles.

Indeed..........

Crap and Tax is dead, thank God!! Even uttering it on the Hill these days makes you instantly radioactive. The "green economy" is a fcukking scam and in this economy, a politician might as well be unicycling naked around Capitol Hill shaking a bannana over his head.

This is simply an appointment to keep the enviro-k00ks happy.:fu:

The Chinese are leading in solar, wind, and hydro power production. Do you think there is a reason for this? Also lets not forget that when jobs are eliminated in one sector, they are created in another. The Blacksmith was pretty pissed off when the horse became obsolete with the car, and all the blacksmith jobs were eliminated. However all the blacksmiths got jobs making cars.

It seems to me that those that are opposed to renewable energy are those that are opposed to the people introducing it. So I must wonder, are they against renewable energy, or are they against Obama and anything he has to propose? Sorry to say but I think it is the latter.

Who the hell is AGAINST, renewable energy?
when it becomes CHEAP enough for ALL to use then go for it.

I have no problem with innovation and market driven change. This is not so with the Green Movement.. it is driven by a political agenda.

BTW... China also leads in extraction of fossil fuels, and they are ever increasing their efforts in this area.

Environazi in a nutshell:

This interview excerpt shows that the environment and "saving the planet" is the furthest thing from their minds, they are interested in controlling people and they will use any methods possible to get that control.

"TOWNSEND: I was making a speech to nearly 200
really hard core, deep environmentalists and I played
a little thought game on them. I said imagine I am the
carbon fairy and I wave a magic wand. We can get rid
of all the carbon in the atmosphere, take it down to
two hundred fifty parts per million and I will ensure
with my little magic wand that we do not go above
two degrees of global warming. However, by waving
my magic wand I will be interfering with the laws of
physics not with people – they will be as selfish, they
will be as desiring of status. The cars will get bigger,
the houses will get bigger, the planes will fly all over
the place but there will be no climate change. And I
asked them, would you ask the fairy to wave its
magic wand? And about 2 people of the 200 raised
their hands.

ROWLATT: That is quite shocking. I bet you were
shocked, weren’t you?

TOWNSEND: I was angry. I wasn’t shocked. I was
angry because it really showed that they wanted
more. They didn’t just want to prevent climate
change. They wanted to somehow change people, or
at very least for people to know that they had to
change."

THE BLACKSMITH WAS NOT PUT OUT OF A JOB BY THE GOVERNMENT!

It was entrepreneurship that gave us the car. Private individuals that had a dream to create an industry.

IT WAS NOT RADICAL LITTLE UTOPIANS WHO THOUGHT THEY WOULD FORCE THE WORLD TO LIVE BY THEIR RADICAL, DELUSIONAL AGENDA!

If China "leads the world" with all this wonderful green technology EXPLAIN THE FACT THAT THEIR OIL DEPENDENCY HAS SHOT UP A LOT!

This is the country that "leads" with green technology????????

You don't even know what you are talking about!

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Here we have the Saudi Prince, Al-Waleed bin Talal, telling us how much he wants to keep the US sucking on the oil teet:

"We don't want the West to go and find alternatives, because, clearly, the higher the price of oil goes, the more they have incentives to go and find alternatives,"

Watch the Interview: Saudi prince calls for lower oil prices

Can ya'll guess where the United States is regarding alternative energies compared to the rest of the world? It ain't number one...not number two....not even number three or four. Hell, we aren't even in the top 10. No, the United States, the country that used to be the innovators, are 17th in the world. Some American exceptionalism there eh?

China Leads the Push to "Go Green"

The President's commerce secretary has a noble goal, but with so much opposition from the lobbyists paying most of the GOP and some of the Democrats salaries, he's pushing a REALLY big, carbon based, rock up a hill.

DID YOU EVER HEAR OF DRILL BABY DRILL??????????

Who says we have to buy all that oil from the Saudis?

But the fact of the matter is, whether you delusional greenies like it or not, THIS WORLD RUNS ON OIL.

Did you see the chart I just supplied of how much the Chinese have increased their oil importation?

If "green energies" could even REASONABLY be close to replacing oil, THEY WOULD WORK WITHOUT GOVERNMENT FORCING THEM ON US.

The government didn't have to force cars or airplanes on us.

They increased in use BECAUSE THEY WORKED.

And why do liberals hate oil use, so much? Oil use SAVED THE WHALES. Before oil, we were hunting whales to extinction to supply our energy needs.

Good Grief this is so delusional.

You can't use a wind mill or a solar panel to fly a plane! You can't use one to drive a car.

And those hybrids the government wants to force us to use, DEPEND ON ELECTRICITY.

HEY LIBERAL GENIUSES, GUESS WHERE ELECTRICITY COMES FROM?

That's right, COAL AND OIL!

When are you libs going to get it!

You sit on your computers at home, THAT DEPEND ON ELECTRICITY.

Well, GUESS WHERE THAT ELECTRICITY COMES FROM.

It isn't a windmill, geniuses!

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I now await another utopian speech by a liberal telling me how "someday" we will get our energy from windmills and the sun.

:lmao:

So what does this idiot propose we use to replace the carbon sources that generate 70% of our electricity? And that doesn't even count all the petroleum we use for transportation!

Damned idiot. Doesn't have a fucking clue about reality, and the damned idiot of a President gave him a job with a direct affect on business.

This Administration is utterly and completely incompetent. Thanks a whole hell of a lot, all you Hopey Changey morons that voted for him. Assholes.
