CBO lowers costs of Obamacare by billions | MSNBC

The Congressional Budget Office this week lowered both the short- and long-term costs of Obamacare by billions of dollars.

A new report released Monday estimated the Affordable Care Act’s net cost for 2014 at $36 billion, $5 billion less than the past figure for the year, according to the Joint Committee on Taxation and CBO. Additionally, officials anticipate an overall price tag of $1,383 billion between 2015 and 2024, $104 billion less than previous projections. Premiums through an exchange marketplace will likely be lower than first expected.

In a follow-up report to its February report, the CBO said it expects coverage provisions of Obamacare to cost $36 billion for fiscal 2014, $5 billion less than previously expected. For the years 2015 to 2024, the CBO said it expects the program to cost a cumulative $1.383 trillion, $104 billion less than expected.

In other words, the deficit the OP claims to "cut", is the deficit that was raised sky-high by Obamacare in the first place.

Instead of the program costing $1.487 trillion, the CBO now says it will cost $1.383 trillion instead.

And the liberal fanatics are desperately trying to pretend that a program that heaped an additional $1.383 on the already staggering U.S. deficits, is somehow "cutting" a deficit somewhere.

The degree to which these people lie and fake their "facts" is astounding sometimes.

Northwestern University will have to pay for maternity coverage for any of its football players who enroll in Obamacare.

Northwestern became the first school in the nation to deem its players full-time employees last Wednesday. Because the school team has more than 50 employees, it also qualifies as a “large” employer, and therefore must offer pregnancy-related care to the all-male team, according to an article in Rare.

As full-time employees, the team will also be able to vote on whether or not to unionize.

“In the world President Obama lives in, college football teams are now unions, and the government is paying for maternity coverage for 18-year-old boys,” Nebraska senatorial candidate Ben Sasse said in a promotional video called “Pregnant Football Players.”

Everything that comes out of this government, every report and every study is a lie to do nothing but support it's own propaganda.

For conservatives, Obamacare was supposed to be the worst thing “since slavery.” Not only was it “a complete and total failure,” but congressional Republicans said it was pure “socialism” that would “literally” kill people. They launched 54 (unsuccessful) attempts in the last four years to blow up President Obama’s signature health care law, and even triggered a government shutdown over its implementation.

But now that open enrollments are done, and more than 7.5 million Americans have signed up for health insurance, conservatives are slowly starting to ease off the panic button.

The number of self-identified Republicans who believe the Affordable Care Act will make their lives worse plummeted by over 20 percentage points in the latest Gallup poll, out Friday. Just over one month ago, 72% of Republicans said the health care law would make their family situations worse. That dropped to 51% in a survey taken earlier this week.
