    Hmm, I wouldn't say that.

I would say, however, that Obama would be a damned good president COMPARED TO those damned Pubs. At least those Republicans who are currently breathing.

He's in the top four even with Republican intransigence.

Surely he'd be #1 without us.

Will the real President Obama please step forward.

First we hear that this President hasn't been able to get anything done because of the Republicans blocking him at every turn.

Then we hear that this President has accomplished more in three years then any President
    before him...

    So which is it Libs...

Can you settle on one or the other please...

This is mostly true. People complain that Obama has done nothing, which is flatly false. He's done quite a bit. It's one thing to object to what he has done. It's simply dishonest to say he's done nothing.

In any event, I think Obama could have been a better President if it wasn't for those damn Democrats.

The day the Democrats took power over our government did not begin on January 22nd 2009 when Obama assumed the presidency! IT WAS ACTUALLY January 3rd 2007, the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress.

The Democrat Party took control as a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995. So, for those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is "Bush's Fault", please consider the following FACTS.

On January 3rd, 2007, the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress, the following conditions prevailed.

The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77

The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%

    The Unemployment rate was 4.6%

George Bush's Economic policies had SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB CREATION!

    Remember that day...

January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Representative Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Senator Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee. Here is the important question to consider: The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy? BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!

Thanks to all those democrats in control of our government (especially Barney Frank & Chris Dodd) who acted in unison to take us from the 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP, and 4.6% unemployment to the American crisis we are now experiencing as they dumped 5-6 trillion dollars of toxic loans into our economy by promoting their Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac fiascoes.

Keep in mind that beginning in 2001 President Bush asked Congress on 17 separate occasions to stop Fannie and Freddie because it was financially risky for the US economy. Instead, Barney Frank blocked requests and called Bush's efforts "Chicken Little Philosophy". Now we know that the sky did indeed fall.

Here are some facts to Consider: Who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Answer: OBAMA. And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie? Answer: OBAMA and the Democrat Congress, especially Barney Frank!!!!

So when someone tries to blame Bush, please remember January 3, 2007, the day that the Democrats took control of the federal government. Bush may have been in the car, but the Democrats were in charge of the gas pedal and the steering wheel as they drove the economy into the ditch.

Another fact to consider: I think that too many well-meaning Americans fail to understand that budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress. The political party that controlled the House of Representatives and the Senate since January 2007 is the Democrat Party; not George Bush and not the Republicans.

Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 & 2009 as well as 2010 & 2011. In that first year, 2008, they had to contend with President George Bush which caused them to compromise on spending when Bush, somewhat belatedly, got tough on spending increases.

For 2009, though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely by passing continuing resolutions to keep government running with their inflated spending budgets that they had already established until Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budget.

Now, where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of the very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and then he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete the 2009 budget.

It is really important to remember what the deficits looked like during that period. If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That 2007 deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending. This includes Obama, who voted for the budgets.

In essence, if Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself. In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is that, "I inherited a deficit that I voted for, and then I voted to expand that budget deficit four-fold since January 20th, 2009.

He did a LOT, but most of it was crappy. And it's the Republicans' fault that it was crappy. See? Makes sense now, right?

Our complaint isnt that he has done nothing. It's that he's totally screwed up everything he's touched.

Why do you think we have wanted him to fail? His success hurts our nation. And we can see that his success has hurt us.
