The press regularly counts on the self-fulfilling prophecies the Democrats hand them as a means of persuasion for the profitable pleasure of having public officials granting them more favorable photo ops and interviews with their station in voting season.

A self-fulfilling prophecy is a tool of people with an agenda that really just doesn't wash, so they hype it until it is accepted as reality by viewers.
