They probably vote republican anyway. Long overdue, IMHO. We have normal relations with just about every Communist country except North Korea and Cuba. Cuba has done nothing to us. If we can have good relations with Viet Nam, a country we were at war with, we can surely do so with Cuba.

It will piss off the older cuban generation like my grandmother. But her children and grandchildren have seen how effective her hat has been. It's accomplished nothing. I think most Cuban-Americans are beginning to realize things have to change.

According to an English acquaintance who has visited Cuba annually for the past 25 years local Cuban disdain for Castro and communism is immense. How normalizing relations will cure the injustice and denial of human rights is puzzling to say the least.
