Obama to Boehner: 'We Don't Have a Spending Problem'

we have had tax rates of over 90% on the wealthy in this country in the past.

no disastor occured because we did.

In fact we had the best schools in the world

With loopholes that kept anyone from paying anywhere even close to 90%. You could make the tax rates 100% if there are loopholes that keep people from paying more than 10%. That doesn't mean it's a smart idea.

Bush lied us into a war.

congress all read intel that had been manipulated by the Bush white house.

They tried to back a president in the face of percieved great danger.

Is it their faults that Bush and Cheney were lying fucking bags of pig shit?

As much as you want to claim he lied, you still dont have evidence for that. Simply repeating the mantra again and again isn't proof. You have to actually prove that he said something wrong and he knew that it was wrong.

You know, like how we prove your lying frequently.

They said they KNEW where these claimed weapons were.

Then it turned out there were NOT any.

They claimed Sadam was about to Nuke us.

It was a lie

and where would you suggest they GET their intel?

your fucking asshole LIED this entire country to war and you want to just give them a pass.

this is a perfect example of why the republican party is dying

lol, they got it from THE CLINTION administration..
you people are joke and will lie about anything

lol. anything else you feel like lying about?

lol

although the whine about clinton was a nice touch after your post whining that it was pointed out that shrub was the only leader in recorded history to cut taxes during wartime.

dismissed.

lol

tsk tsk, they are attacking the Dear leader so we MUST DEFLECT, we must deflect, we must deflect..

man, how comforting you are saying your elected Representative are TOO STUPID to find out information for themselves..

you people are a JOKE AND THIS thread is about YOUR DEAR LEADER...

and where would you suggest they GET their intel?

Indeed. And, after eight years of the Clinton administration slashing intelligence funding, is it any surprise that the intel sucked?

Democrat Quotes on WMD

Absolutely breathtaking how you can so completely ignore the constant drumbeat of the Bush administration, the completely incorrect testimonials of his administration before Congress, the claims that we would be "welcomed" as "liberators" and the fact that it was Bush's decision (he was Commander in Chief, by the way) to "pull the trigger" on the wars.

The partisan mind is fascinating.

Wow. So now they're Clinton's wars. Fuckin-A.

$3.2 TRILLION to $4.0 TRILLION.

lol, cheering for taking people out now..

That tolerance from you on the left is shining
Taking them out, by voting them out of office.

Only the lunatic right would prefer to use their 2nd Amendment rights to solve this problem.

Patriotic American's prefer to solve this country's problems by being a more well-informed voter.

“He’s so ideological himself,” Boehner explained, “and he’s unwilling to take on the left of his own party.”

Mr. Pott negotiating with Mr. Kettle ... oh this is going to be productive.

Obama to Boehner: 'We Don't Have a Spending Problem' - YouTube

In an interview with Stephen Moore of the Wall Street Journal, newly re-elected House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) opened up about President Obama’s utter unwillingness to cut a single dollar from federal spending. In a stunning admission, Obama reportedly told Boehner, “We don’t have a spending problem.”

Boehner added that President Obama continues to maintain that America’s federal deficit is caused not by governmental overspending but by “a health-care problem.” Said Boehner, “They blame all of the fiscal woes on our health-care system.” Boehner told Obama, “Clearly we have a health-care problem, which is about to get worse with Obamacare. But, Mr. President, we have a very serious spending problem.” Obama eventually replied, “I’m getting tired of hearing you say that.”

Obama may be tired of hearing Boehner talk about a spending problem, particularly when Obama has been re-elected on the basis of ignoring government spending. Nonetheless, America does have a spending problem, which Obama is steadfastly ignoring. “He’s so ideological himself,” Boehner explained, “and he’s unwilling to take on the left of his own party.” That’s why Obama refused to raise the retirement age for Medicare after agreeing to it. “He admitted in meetings that he couldn’t sell things to his own members,” said Boehner. “But he didn’t even want to try … We could never get him to step up.”

Boehner says that there will be no new tax increases over the debt ceiling. “The tax issue is resolved,” he said. And he said that more closed-door negotiations with Obama would be “futile.” It’s a bit too late to recognize that, but better late than never.

Obama need not negotiate on spending. He can just continue to bully Republicans by suggesting that they are the party of the rich – and his media lackeys can pretend that it’s fiscally irresponsible to ask the government to live within its means.
