OK, here's just a sample of how Obama only wants to be asked certain questions so he can use his limited time to beat up the right:

Donna Deegan of FCN Jacksonville initially seemed to apologize for not broaching the appointed subject right away.
“Mr. President, I know we were asked to talk about sequestration today,” she said, but then added she wanted to talk about something else first. Finally, she got to it:
“Let’s talk a little bit about sequestration, because I know that’s why you invited us here,” she said.
Obama used an interview with WVEC Norfolk to specifically bash Republicans

Well, how do you like them apples?

White House Sets Ground Rules for Local Interviews

by Keith Koffler on August 21, 2012, 11:20 am

The White House is doing something with its local TV interviews that it could not easily get away with in encounters with the White House press corps, which President Obama has been studiously ignoring: choosing the topic about which President Obama and the reporter will talk.

No views: Nobody's surprised of this assault by the White House on free speech by the press?

And the reporters go along with this! Why not ask about what is most on people minds..the embassies riots and attacks? Our mind boggling foreign policy! What do they teach in journalism school? Cow tow to the president at all costs?

The left doesn't care about this sort of stuff. They're still pretending the 47 percent comments hold water.

They're committed to lies and corruption, and they will avoid anything that is truthful.

The Left is committed to Socialism. Driven buy a powerful Schmuck, George Soros.
Obama's just a salesman with beliefs. He's not that smart. He's only out front to sell garbage.

If you're a 47er it's not your fault. You didn't make that happen. Somebody else made that happen.

The public doesn't seem to have free speech on their minds, as with all the screeching of silly season that elections are, they think the Constitution is safe.

The way the administration refuses to answer unsolicited questions is not a good sign, imho. Keeping its secret agendas concealed from the public is not possible when the press has access to the source.

When the source makes himself unavailable, and when he does, points out that the buck stops.... >>>> there, the people might not like it very much.

Ensuring that the President never has to say those words is something that should prickle the hair on the back of everyone's neck about what they are dealing with in this executive branch that closes access to all things in Obama's past, most things present, and all things to come such as secretive bargaining chips Obama plans on using without citizens wiser prior to his gaining himself a second term:

Like the chairman trying to foist the notion that the majority of Democrats were religious, when they were shouting down the minister at their convention? Yes.

I know there are still good people in the Democrat Party, it's just that their combined assorted extremists have found common ground in the extremism of spreading other people's wealth around to namely, themselves.

The present administration demands nutty ideals to guard embassies in hostile nations sans bullets while buying up the market in bullets to protect themselves before the election.

This administration not only wants to redistribute other people's wealth, they do not desire any part in leadership in the free world that shows our nation to be sincere in its traditional support. Where this is going does not seem to be a good place, imho. They're pocketing fortunes in Green industries who are manufacturing items that are noncompetitive on the world market, turning around with the cash and putting it into Chinese companies to take over more jobs here and get more jobs for their own people there.

The Obama administration and Democrat control of the Treasury to their own private betterment is not making sense to me how it employs Americans as their companies go under a year after getting a free injection of half a billion in loans that are such blatant cash gifts, I don't know how they think fancy wording can conceal that fact from citizens who can read with comprehension as to what is actually taking place.

Not at all surprised. Why do you think reporters won't ask Kathleen Sebelius about her violation of federal election laws?

Known this was going on for a few weeks. They are telling some interviewers to not ask questions about politics whatsoever, like his interview with the NM local radio station (Again interesting since he should have NM locked up and yet he's campaigning there iwth softball questions).

A friend of mine who is a hard core Obama supporter was bragging last night about how Obama will know all the questions for the debates before hand. He seemed to think it was obvious that the media would tell him the questions and didnt seem to see the problem with that. It was an odd conversation, but then he is an odd individual.

If they ever check the lip prints on Obama’s bony derriere, the will find traces of DNA for Chris Matthews, Anderson Cooper, Rachael Maddow, Arianna Huffington and the rest of their colleagues in the liberal MSM.

If Joseph Pulitzer were alive today, he would be appalled at how the press has degenerated into nothing more than a propaganda machine for one of the most corrupt and incompetent administration in our country's history. Pulitzer knew that only an unbiased, alert and aggressive media could protect the citizens of this country. Here are two of my favorite Pulitzer quotes:

"There is not a crime, there is not a dodge, there is not a trick, there is not a swindle, there is not a vice which does not live by secrecy. Get these things out in the open, describe them, attack them, ridicule them in the press, and sooner or later public opinion will sweep them away. Publicity may not be the only thing that is needed, but it is the one thing without which all other agencies will fail" (highlights my own).

“Our Republic and its press will rise or fall together … An able, disinterested, public-spirited press, with trained intelligence to know the right and courage to do it, can preserve that public virtue without which popular government is a sham and a mockery. A cynical, mercenary, demagogic press will produce in time a people as base as itself. The power to mold the future of the Republic will be in the hands of the journalists of future generations.”

I am convinced there is not one single problem this country has, whether it is with the economy, education, crime or international relations, which would not be quickly resolved if our media were dedicated, honest and diligent. Unfortunately, there is no chance of that happening any time soon.

Did Obama forget to tell CBS to not talk about that one?

media matters is a creation of David Brock who started the company specifically to make some kind of media war on Fox and other conservative outlets.

The coordination between the media and any candidate is disturbing. This corruption is a threat to our nations vitality.

As well as Foundation to Promote Open Society, George Soros baby.

Everybody screams about money buying elections, the MSM has much more influence on those elections than all the money in the world. There is no integrity in Journalism any more.

I have found I can't trust anything any media outlet claims. I always have to research back to facts I can find and not through blogs, other media, etc. It can be very hard to find sometimes, but if you are persistent you usually can come up with what the truth actually is.

Thanks, the Professor, this I found to be true in your quotes of Joseph Pulitzer: "An able, disinterested, public-spirited press, with trained intelligence to know the right and courage to do it, can preserve that public virtue without which popular government is a sham and a mockery."

I think our time has a blind-spot in its vision of the future, and that is public virtue. Who is encouraging virtue in the public? The people who scream the loudest? The people who make others laugh the hardest? The people who can take our minds off our present-day failures? People, who by their scholarship and hard work resolve to never fail their children? I'm drawing several short straws for the press. I don't think I've heard the words "public virtue" in years. And virtue should be something that is known to us as a people and desired in our heart of hearts. Do we?
