Obama Repeatedly Ripped Bush, Promised Never to Repeat Katrina

We are told over the weekend that they were 'All over it from day ONE'...when in all actuality? It was addressed officially after NINE DAYS.

Of course we are talking a MAN MADE disater versus one that was caused by Nature [Katrina], we knew was coming in advance. What happened there [Katrina] was an inept MAYOR, and a dufus Governor, both that waited too long...and of course shuffled
the blame to the POTUS...[And nevermenind tha tother Governors in the areas affected didn't hesitate to ASK for help...

New White House site slams Bush <January 2009

Where The New SITE explained: "
Under the “agenda” portion of the site regarding Katrina, it reads: “President Obama will keep the broken promises made by President Bush to rebuild New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. He and Vice President Biden will take steps to ensure that the federal government will never again allow such catastrophic failures in emergency planning and response to occur.”

And of course we are treated to comments from Gibbs that they are 'Gonna keep their boot on the throat of BP'

We know full well what this is all about. It gives this administration the Statist Congress fodder to further regulate an industry that is already over-regulated, causing higher prices here in the US...to further their agenda...by their demegogoury of this catastrophe...

Did Any of you forget this little jewel? [From Maxine "The MOUTH" Waters]?

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0BdKkEKTrs&feature=player_embedded"]YouTube - Maxine Waters Threatens to Socialize Big Oil[/ame]

    __________________________

Should BP and other parties that are involved be made to pay for this? ABSOLUTELY.
But this is a warning to alot of you that have no DOUBT as to the residuals of this, and of Cap/Trade...

I think it [Cap /Trade that was thought NOT to be high on the agenda] got moved right behind the raging immigration debate going on. And for Obama's people saying they were 'On top of it since day one'? Don't think so. They were too busy with MayDay, EarthDay and other nonsense. And Of Course Obama was at the "Media Correspondants Dinner"regailing us with failed attempts at humour.

Obama himself was out and about attending to other things. What we see is damage control from this administration to save face from the rhetoric of January 2009...when they promised NOT to repeat the 'Folly' of Bush and Katrina.

By now, we can all assume that when Obama says he'll be different than Bush, it just means he will do things like triple the deficit and delay emergency response even longer.

    Just sayin'.

I notice the utter lack of rebuttal(s) from the Statist Members of this board. -Typical- They know when they've been lied to again from their Messiah.

All The Madman Obama and his master Rahm Emanuel are doing right now is trying to figure out how they can capitalize on this crisis while pointing the finger at the former Administration at the same time. The fucking dunce Obama just said a few weeks ago that he is gonna expand Off Shore Oil drilling. What a gang of carpetbagging bottomfeeders. They don't come much worse than these maggots. ~BH

What happened there was a broken and bloated system that was rotten to the core starting at the Federal Level and seeping down to the State and Local Levels.

Believe me Mississippi didn't fair all that well either, there were just less major super-domes filled with tens of thousands of starving people to focus on.

What you had in Mississippi was really bad hurricane damage that ripped up the coast. Comparable to Andrew, Ivan, and other major cat 4 storms. What you had in New Orleans was a major city under water with tens of thousands of stranded refugees abandoned with no food, water, or support. Two totally different situations.

Nobody is justify Nagin or the Governor's reactions.

The fact is though FEMA had it's own issues during Katrina and the unnecessary and ridiculous bureaucracy surrounding it caused confusion on various levels.

As a neo-coon you should know this, but people like yourself are to retarded and partisan to realize that the feds under Bush and Obama have failed almost routinely at everything.

    That includes:
    The war.
    Passing legitimate health reform.
    The Drug War.
    Katrina.
    The Wall Street Crisis.
    Tax Reform.
    Border Security.

It's because the Federal government is to bloated and poorly run. Go figure.
