Obama has got to go pretty low to reach Bush's final approval ratings

He's going to go centerist ala Clinton, when the republican wave hits the beach he'll be surfing the bipartisan lobbyist money train with the rest of the club.

If the economy continues to fibrilate, Obama's popularity is bound to go down.

If it stabilizes or begins to recover -- especially as it's related to employment -- his ratings will improve.

duh!

Well, there's a glowing recommendation: "My guy doesn't suck quite as bad as your guy!"

But, I guess you work with what you have.

It proves there are still blind idiots out there giving Barry high marks...

It's good to see that some of those zombified libs are actually waking up, though...

He's already gone lower. Just takes time for everyone to realize it.

During the same timeframe, Bush was still riding the popularity wave following the attacks of 911. Historically, Obama isn't doing any worse than many of the more popular presidents in their first terms, so I wouldn't break out the champagne just yet.

Comparing approval ratings of different Presidents based on time in office is pretty much statistically irrelevant, IMHO. The historical differences during the time periods being compared at the time of sampling are too great.

Bingo.

I think he's a left wing ideologue and his ideology won't let him move to the center.

He isn't as savvy a politician as Clinton or he just does't care.

His lefty, looney agenda is all that he cares about. He is determined to spread the taxpayers wealth and show us the nirvana of the socialist system. (Apparantly he ain't watching Europe to closely)

No, he's a marxist. A True Believer. He'll dig in even deeper.

Well he's said he's a Christian and a Democrat.

Perhaps there's some expert out there that knows exactly what's in a person's heart. But from where I sit..I will go with how he describes himself..and behaves.

Go find out what a True Believer is.

I do think Obama will move to the middle if the GOP gains the House, which is probably will be a good thing for the Dems in the long run. Especially since the GOP will be bowing to the Tea Party in 2012.
