So obama is going to use executive orders to circumvent Congress again. He has decided that the omnibus spending package he signed, restricts him from spending willy nilly.
The American system of government is based on a separation of powers, not presidential fiat. Mr. Obama should abide by every word of the 1,200-page bill passed by Congress and signed by his own hand.

Even though the Senate will not convict I believe if he breaks the law the House should Impeach him and every time he breaks it do it again.

Further I think they should employ the Courts. If he violates a law take it court to stop it.

The President does not control the purse strings nor can he chose which law to obey and which to break. But the Senate will do nothing about it. We need to high light this until the election. With specific facts charges and specific laws broken and how.

Do any of Bush's violate the law or Constitution?

The President does not get to decide he does not like a law and ignore it. Nor can he spend money Congress did not give him power to spend.

Obama plans to pay 4 people illegally after Congress specifically said he could not. He plans to declare a law null and void simply because he wants to. A Law he signed.

A President has ZERO authority or power to spend money not specifically appropriated by Congress.

I repeat did Bush violate the law or the Constitution? If so link it.

You all getting your talking points from the Moonie Times again?

Did you bother to read the piece and what Obama said and plans to do? If so you are either mentally challenged or so partisan you just don't care.

I'm a little more particular about what I read, if that's what you mean. I may look tomorrow to see whether any credible source is running this but until then, you are free to continue your baseless and hateful accusations.

When people use known bias resources, whether it be The Washington Times or the Huff Post, I just plain ignore the resource.

How many times have I seen people use such sources only to get shot down by reality.

So you think Obama did NOT issue a signing statement here?

In otherwords, you are speaking out of ignorance, and damn proud of it.

Statement by the President on H.R. 2055 | The White House

Pretty simple, The President has NO authority or Power to spend money without approval of Congress. Congress has made a law that the President SIGNED that specifically bars him from paying 4 of his unauthorized senior officials. Further since he refuses to submit their names to the Senate for approval he can not claim they are his to assign or pay. The Constitution is clear on this.

He further states he will simply IGNORE the law on many points because he disagrees with it. He has no such authority. He has no such power.

If he thinks certain provisions violate the Constitution and his authority his recourse was to not sign the Law , now that it is signed his recourse is to either get it repelled, replaced or take it the Courts. He has no Constitutional authority to simply ignore it.

Yep. Screw the Constitution.

Nahh.... it makes for pretty toilet paper
