The obama plot to use al quaeda to cleanse Syria of Christians is drawing to an end in failure.

Syrian rebels have surrendered the city of Homs to forces loyal to Bashar al-Assad, bringing a three-year siege of the city by government troops to an end.

According to Homs Gov. Talal Baraz, more than 1,500 troops have left the city since Wednesday, giving up their positions in the Old Homs district. The city will be declared 'secure' when government troops move in later today.

obama has backed al quaeda since the beginning and is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Syrians. It ended up as just another obama failure.

"The obama plot to use al quaeda to cleanse Syria of Christians is drawing to an end in failure" is the statement of a loony.

Then you don't mind that the obama backed al quaeda is surrendering?

This is but another example of America's weak-kneed foreign policy.

It is also amazing that Saudi Arabia gave up its support of the rebels. Iran, at the same time, is turning its attention elsewhere.

Why?

Because the new world leader, Putin, is investing Russian capital in long-term support of the Assad regime to give him a power base in the Mid East.

If you notice at the very top of the map is Crimea and parts of southern Russia. It gives him clout in an area long closed to him.

It also shows that, unlike the US, he has learned the awful lessons of Afghanistan. Don't invest your youth's blood and guts but let the locals do the fighting.

Syria is a failed foreign policy stunt devised to weaken Russia. Just like the Ukraine. Instead of hating this giant crap ball, we should embrace it. 1 more day without nuclear war.

Everything obama did has been a failure. It's just a shame that so many people had to die. If obama had not wanted to wiggle his pencil dick Assad would have put that rebellion down in a week. Now it's years later with the same result.

The rebels are of many factions and politics.

I am aware that you are thrilled, but you are a fool if you think the surrender is a failure of American foreign policy.

It is not "long closed", maybe 25 years.

Katzndogz, if the Syrians had won, you would have condemned America.

Why do you hate your own country?
