Obama does it again. The guy is a genius.

So Obama is brilliant for appointing a man you on the left degraded and attacked during the Bush administration?

Forgive me if I think you are blowing alot of hot air.

And let's not forget the words of our Sec. of State, then senator, Hillary "vast right-wing conspiracy" Clinton to General Petraeus that his progress report on Iraq required "a willing suspension of disbelief."

Oh, well. Putting MoveOn's favorite guy in charge of the CIA is hilarious IMO. Just some of the change your boy campaigned on folks.

I really do not think Petreaus should run the CIA, but this is a pretty shrewd move on Obama's part to try to look like he is above the partisanship involved while actually leading the Democratic attack on Republicans. I don't think it will fool anyone but the willfully blind but it does make him look good.

Since when do Liberals admire people in the military?

They traditionally spit on soldiers.

Here, we have a blathering idiot supporting an Army general?

Wow....

Can we expect this nutsack to enlist next? Probably not....

That's an outright lie. It was Republicans who smeared John Kerry.

I served in the 3rd Battalion, 16th Field Artillery, 8th Infantry Division. Considering the number of military that voted for Obama, I have no problem calling the person making such an outrageous claim, a "turd".

Not a problem.......

Jerome "Turd" Corsi

BONUS!!

Kerry SMACKIN'-AROUND John O'Neill (Nixon's lil' bitch)

John O'Neil was a
FUCKIN' LIAR!!!

What happened to the snickering democrat attempt to malign General Petraeus with shameful ads like "general betray-us"? Republicans didn't call him "betray-us", democrats did. We have chaos in the defense dept and the CIA with the resignation of the defense secretary and the glaring ineptness of former Clinton aid as CIA director who is kicked upstairs and the left thinks B. Hussein is a genius? He is a political neophite who's only goal is covering his ass and the Country be damned.

Get oil prices under $4? Get unemployment under 9%? Get the economy on track? Find a way to cut the nations debt? Lower health insurance and healthcare prices?

Oh wait he promoted a guy who the liberals defamed by calling him General Betrayous! That is what you're giving him credit for?:cuckoo:

Obama is moving General David Petraeus to head up the CIA. Probably the USA's greatest expert on counter terrorism. Another brilliant move from Obama.
It seems like just yesterday that liberals were calling him General Betrayus.

But, rdean is a political hack, so there is no surprise at the turnaround.

And what do conservatives say about the "Commander in Chief"? Oops.

Logical thought escape you?

What does Obama have to do with my point that "General Betrayus" was a liberal punching bag. Now...not so much.

Gates is a career bureaucrat and a YES man. Panetta is as well and will toe the line in the dismantling of DOD. Petreus going to the CIA will keep him quite until 2012 and then Obama will fire him like he fired Gen. Jones and Adm. Blair.

What does MoveOn have to do with this? You're just bringing it up because you realize there's really no one out there that can beat Obama, so you've got to bring up old, tired stuff that has nothing to do with the story. Don't like MoveOn? Apparently, neither does Obama. He thanks you for your support!

Think about it for a bit you might get it.....than again you might not

I get that you're shitting your pants because an Obama re-election is getting more and more certain. How's that stock market looking to you?

More and more certain?

And it's looking like it's going to crash the second people figure out what the Fed is up to and the inflation on both gasoline and food starts hitting hard.

I can't imagine Obama winning relection if gas increases from $4, food prices go up, unemployment stays the same, and the budget isn't cut.

Sorry if you disagree. But I can't see a majority concluding that things are getting better.

You either think hes a good choice or you dont.

Tell us why this is a mistake by Obama

Of course it's a good choice to have someone competant in charge of the CIA.

Doesn't change the fact that you guys are completely disingeuous for praising this choice with your history of attacking the General.

Who says Petraeus is competent? Colin Powell was sort of competent as chief of staff but stank when he became Secy of State. Merely being good on the battlefield, or even in the context of the Army, doesnt mean squat for running a large complex org like CIA.

when I read the title of this thread I thought for sure I was going to open it to learn that Air Force One had performed another fly over of NYC or something similarly stupid.

Obama is moving General David Petraeus to head up the CIA. Probably the USA's greatest expert on counter terrorism. Another brilliant move from Obama.

Probably signals the draw-down from Afghanistan after the fighting season.

Takes a potential rival out of the next presidential race. Remember, Republicans drafted Eisenhower because they didn't like any of the other candidates. AND Eisenhower was the last Republican president to balance the budget.

Obama has a way of getting his political rivals to work for him. Doesn't matter their past relationship, he gets the talent. See Sec. of State.

Obama kept the best from the Bush administration, slim pickings and all.

Obama is obviously a thoughtful leader and a diplomat.

The Republicans can't see this. It must be too "dark".

rdean you are out of your mind if you think Obama is some kind of a genius. I'm ROFLMAO at your comment about Obama being a "thoughtful leader and a diplomat". You need to have your medications checked and maybe, just maybe, a new head shrinker if you really believe this horse shit you've posted.

Maybe he'll someday grant you an audience.

Bring your kneepads.

Yup, what a genius.

He puts Leon Panetta, who got his intel from CNN while CIA Director, in charge of the Defense Department.

Now Leon may have seen a few war movies but I don't see any qualifications for Sec. of Defense.

Course he's no more or less qualified to be Commander in Chief then Obama.

Lord forbid Patreus should think of running against Obama for POTUS, so Obama makes him part of Obama's regime. Obama is afraid of Patreus.

In more ways than one.

Offering him a cushy job, will help to keep his mouth shut regarding Obama's failed leadership.

Obama doesn't make smart moves, he makes political moves.

Obama isn't a genius, he's a failed president and typical politician.

Doesn't take a genius to so abjectly fail, or be a politician

Sorry to break this to you, old sport, but your Messiah, Obama, is a stupid, darkie moron, and the Jews control him like any other puppet.

LMAO!! Hypocrites you do have to laugh and here you are standing the the middle of them.

Verb 1. move on dot org: Liberal ~ Socialist ~ Commies

Except for Joe Lieberman, all Democrat senators and congressmen have refused to condemn the MoveOn.Org ad. It seems clear that they had some advance knowledge of it, given not only this ominous bit from Politico on Sunday (Sept 09 2007): “‘No one wants to call [Petraeus] a liar on national TV,’ noted one Democratic senator, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. "The expectation is that the outside groups will do this for us."
