Who says Petraeus is competent? Colin Powell was sort of competent as chief of staff but stank when he became Secy of State. Merely being good on the battlefield, or even in the context of the Army, doesnt mean squat for running a large complex org like CIA.

General David H. Petraeus assumed command of the Multi-National Force-Iraq on February 10th, 2007, following his assignment as the Commanding General, U.S. Army Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth. Prior to assuming command at Ft.
