Obama was less lightening and more electricity in that there was clearly interest in manufacturing interest in Obama before there was interest in Obama. I remember reading a biography on him that came out right after his Chicago Senate victory and he still had basically done nothing and then after the DNC speech in 2004 the mainstream media couldn't stop tossing his salad.
