Regardless of who wins any election there is always this crazy overreaction of the sky is falling blah blah blah. It's ad dumb ad "this election is so important". Blah blah blah. About 2 percent of the whole population is active politically besides voting.

Most Repub voters believed the states' rights was the way to go on abortions.

Maybe, it's a possibility. I believe if they believed they had the votes they would support a nationwide ban.

The nationwide ban was by a minimum of people. Abortions are a behavioral issue.

At this point only a few have pushed the idea so we will see.

The court NEVER said it was for the states to decide. They simply noted it wasn't a Constitutionally protected right. Republicans over and over said they would try and pass a nationwide ban. How could this be if it's strictly a state right?

All the same what happens is voters come out to vote for a representative in the state they believe will protect what they want at the state level and that translates into national election votes also.

so do you go in and tell states how to stop the "cheating"? only if you are simply taking over the process. it is up to the states to fight this out, as much as it can and does totally suck. the quick fix fed take over won't end as hoped and simply cement the party in power when that happens. short term gain for fans of that party, long term loss for us all.

can they simply provide a framework? elections must be finished and decided within 24-48 hours of the end of the voting process?

can they provide mail in ballot guidance? such as cannot send out unless requested and have tracking guidelines on this. the problem is we already have rules against harvesting, but its done anyway and without repercussion. would they "do what they want" anyway? for covid, most states altered their voting policy OUTSIDE OF THEIR OWN CONSTITUTION. no one cared. EMERGENCY was declared so all bets are off. now it s been done so doing it again is easier to do regardless of needing to or not.

in the IT world, to keep something safe you simply limit access. unless you MUST HAVE ACCESS - you do not. there is no such thing as safely making administration of duties easier. it's a pain because security requires it.

in my mind, if you must register to vote, then get a voter ID number much like a SSN. these are regional and if you move, you must get a local voter ID in order to vote PERIOD. now we can track which ID voted and for who. create a site where after the elections you can see how your vote was counted but no one elses. now you can't make up votes because the ID is tied to a person. run a simple scan and ensure all ID's are valid as registered and that person is in fact, alive and able to vote in that region.

we can fix this. but people will cry foul because that is what people do. let 'em cry. i am not out to push one side over another but simply create a system both sides adhere to which gives an advantage to neither side, it simply counts and puts in safeguards to protect the counting.

those who have a hard time with this should get help from local authorities for their one-off cause and reason. we SHOULD NOT lower security to "make it easier" for some to vote. if you want to, here is the process. if that is too difficult, then you don't really want to.

If we fixed all these issue the (R) and (D) parties would have nothing to squabble over so they will not get fixed. I say we end the two party system.

Take note how not one of these extended vote counts favored a single GOP candidate. Most of the GOP candidates were ahead, and most took a week to generate enough votes to pull out a narrow win for the DemNazi candidate instead.

If this continues we will have one party rule at The Federal Level like we do in places like California, Illinois, and PA.

As I've noted previously, the drive that pushed the Democrats over the top last week was the two-pronged attach (certainly developed through focus groups) that (a) a vote for Republicans is a vote against "democracy," and (b) vote for Democrats to protect abortion rights.

The first one is, of course, nonsense, both logically and factually, but so what?

The second one, however, is evil because it was a blatant strategy of exploiting voter ignorance.

Democrats in Congress literally CANNOT do anything to "protect" or "promote," or "enhance" the right of a woman to get an abortion. They simply cannot do it.

The Dobbs decision stands for the proportion that, absent some mention of abortion in the Constitution or an enabling Constitutional Amendment, the Federal government (that is to say, Congress) has no legitimate role in making abortion policy. It is entirely a matter for the States to decide, each in their own judgment.

Politically, one might say that Lindsey Graham "teed up" the issue with his foolish "abortion ban" gambit [Republican Graham proposes national ban on abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy], but the fact remains that any attempt by Congress to state or implement a national abortion policy would "immediately" be shot down by the USSC.

And they knew this. No abortion-related law will pass Congress, now or ever.
