We've been using the term "moderate Muslim/Islam" since the 90s. But it's used in the political sense. If referring to a specific person, who's Muslim, and their political ideology is 'moderate' you might use the term.

But there is no branch of Islam, Judaism, or Christianity called 'liberal, moderate, or radical.'
