NJ Gay marriage bill fails

New Jersey legislature defeats gay marriage bill - Yahoo! News

Looks like it wont be passed before Christie takes office there.

So tell me something, if Gay marriage is so important, why does it keep losing in the most liberal of states?

It must be beccuase God hates fags...

But gay marriage in the US is inevitable. Also I wouldnt call New Jesersy the most liberal of states.

You would if you lived in it....

Well I live in it, and it ain't Massachusetts.

Depends what county... The more grass you see the more conservative it is...

fiscally... not necessarily socially.

Hunterdon is a haven of both....

So is a lot of the western part of the state...

western nj is very rural... i remember going to a diner in a little town way out west off of rte 80. there were these table-top juke boxes and they only had country music.... well, except for a few springsteen songs.

not exactly Red Bank.

Well it ain't fucking Texas.

Jersey is liberal pard.

to the fucking core...

"Liberal pard, to the F____G Core?":lol::lol: I don't think so. I don't recall one friend or acquaintance that is a 100% lib here in NJ. Maybe their hiding or afraid to admit it. Most that I have known over the years are a mixture of conservs, libs and those pesky "super Libs", the Progressives.

Kind of like the ideology mix of the USA, capitalist/socialist/Marxist and a topping of a few out right crazies. Holy 'Krap', that sounds like a USMB mix!:lol:

LOL....right up the coast from where I went to school in Long Branch.....and FYI NJ is L-I-B-E-R-A-L to the max with the exception of Hunterdon County(beautiful countryside)...and maybe Bergen County

I live in NJ and support gay marriage.
But I am glad it was not approved in this case. If the bill had been in the works for some time and they pushed it ahead before Corzine left, I would have supported it.
But to generate and rush through legislation with a lame duck Governor is just wrong.

NJ has civil unions now and will eventually get Gay Marriage. But this is not the way to do it
