I was flipping through youtube a while ago and a thought came to mind when I clicked on a Motley concert in Moscow.

Vince was waving the American flag on his leather. Mick was waving a confederate flag on his shirt.

And there were flags of all nations among the tens of thousands in attendance.

Yet everyone was having a great time and getting along just fine.

I kind of chuckled to myself and remembered this thread and thought to myself what the mood might have been if a limp-wristed purveyor of progressivism like the Pearl Jam guy went out there and tried to give one of his usual thirty minute political speeches instead of putting on a concert.

The whole thing would have turned into an instant downer.
