Hi, recently I found that I'm suffering from bruxism. I had to stay in a hostel and there were other roommates with me. At home, I used to sleep alone in a room. So, I was unaware of my disease. My friends told me that I used to speak loudly at night. I ignored that and thought that it might be due to bad dreams that I had. But, recently I found that I have got severe tooth aches when I wake up early in the morning. When I discussed this issue with one of my family friends, she told me that I might be suffering from bruxism and the pain might have been caused due to the clenching of teeth. Our family dentist in Toronto recommended wearing night mouth guards while I sleep. I have started using that and there is a big difference. Should I continue using these mouth guards? Will the problem reoccur if I stopped its usage? Do I need to go for higher treatments? Please give some genuine replies and suggestions.
