California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) on Thursday rejected parole for Sirhan Sirhan, the 77-year-old Palestinian immigrant who was convicted of the 1968 assassination of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy (D-N.Y.) in Los Angeles.

A two-member panel of the California parole board in August approved release for Sirhan after serving 53 years behind bars, and that ruling was then approved by the parole board’s legal staff.

paroled and then some dickhead governor is granted the right to DENY
a parole board release.Tantamount to Jury Nullification. I wonder what
Emilio Esteves { Sheen } thinks about this.
He made a pretty good movie - Bobby - { 2006 } and it's historical
enough.I'm gonna break out my copy.Of course it was shot where
Bobby was shot.The place { County } where the murder took place.

It was the Ambassador Hotel, which has now been demolished.
My parents were part of Kennedy's California team, and were in the Ambassador Embassy ballroom when all of this went down. It was a horror for my parents, and my mom ended up getting trampled in the confusion.
