News flash for flat-earthers

Okay, FactDenier, you obviously aren't going to admit you were wrong that the earth has been "trending" warmer for the "last seven years". The PhD trained scientists at NASA proved you wrong, and you dissapeared from the thread.

Obviously, this suggests you are all about lying about the facts, and you are emotionally bonded to denying the scientic facts, per the orders you recieved from sean hannity.

FactDenier, I'm going to be watching to see if you try to post your bullshit again about the "warming trend" for the last seven years, because I know exactly where to get the NASA temperature trend analysis and I'm going to shove it in your lying face every time you try to post your bullshit

Go for it. The trend is down. Period. Your own red line shows the downward trend. Your hufffy puffy act is just that.

Keeping in mind that windmills are hazardous to birds, be wary of the unintended consequences of believing and contributing to the all-knowing environmental lobby groups.
Climate and economy are being linked. Yes there has been warming since the Pleistocene. Climate is a multiple input, multiple loop, multiple output, complex system. The facts and the hypotheses do not support CO2 as a serious ‘pollutant’. In fact it is plant fertilizer and seriously important to all life on the planet. It is the red herring used by the left to unwind our economy. That issue makes the science relevant.
Water vapour (0.4% overall by volume in air, but 1 – 4 % near the surface) is the most effective green house gas followed by methane (0.0001745%). The third ranking greenhouse gas is CO2 (0.0383%), and it does not correlate well with global warming or cooling either; in fact, CO2 in the atmosphere trails warming which is clear natural evidence for its well-studied inverse solubility in water: CO2 dissolves in cold water and bubbles out of warm water. The equilibrium in seawater is very high; making seawater a great ’sink’; CO2 is 34 times more soluble in water than air is soluble in water.
CO2 has been rising and Earth has been warming. However, the correlation trails. Correlation, moreover, is not causation. The causation is being studied, however, and while the radiation from the sun varies only in the fourth decimal place, the magnetism is awesome.
“Using a box of air in a Copenhagen lab, physicists traced the growth of clusters of molecules of the kind that build cloud condensation nuclei. These are specks of sulphuric acid on which cloud droplets form. High-energy particles driven through the laboratory ceiling by exploded stars far away in the Galaxy - the cosmic rays - liberate electrons in the air, which help the molecular clusters to form much faster than climate scientists have modeled in the atmosphere. That may explain the link between cosmic rays, cloudiness and climate change.”
As I understand it, the hypothesis of the Danish National Space Center goes as follows:
Quiet sun → reduced magnetic and thermal flux = reduced solar wind → geomagnetic shield drops → galactic cosmic ray flux → more low-level clouds and more snow → more albedo effect (more heat reflected) → colder climate
Active sun → enhanced magnetic and thermal flux = solar wind → geomagnetic shield response → less low-level clouds → less albedo (less heat reflected) → warmer climate
That is how the bulk of climate change might work, coupled with (modulated by) sunspot peak frequency there are cycles of global warming and cooling like waves in the ocean. When the waves are closely spaced, the planets warm; when the waves are spaced farther apart, the planets cool.
The ultimate cause of the solar magnetic cycle may be cyclicity in the Sun-Jupiter centre of gravity. We await more on that.
Although the post 60s warming period appears to be over, it has allowed the principal green house gas, water vapour, to kick in with more humidity, clouds, rain and snow depending on where you live to provide the negative feedback that scientists use to explain the existence of complex life on Earth for 550 million years. Ancient sedimentary rocks and paleontological evidence indicate the planet has had abundant liquid water over the entire span. The planet heats and cools naturally and our gasses are the thermostat.

Draw the trend line from 1998. You will see it is clearly down.

You said the trend was down for SEVEN YEARS. You were fucking wrong. And then you post a graph with two years data???:lol::lol:

WEAK!!!

Dude, how dishonest can you be? Can you EVEN ADMIT you were wrong about the seven year trend????

No??? You can't???

What a dishonest hack you are.

Two years is not a fucking trend, FactDenier. NO FUCKING SCIENTIST ON THE PLANET will use two years to define a trend.

Oh geez. Solar irradiance has joined the party. hmmm, wonder if the sun may have anything to do with it?

Glad you finally get it.

CO2 is causing the earth to warm within the context of solar irradiance.

Pretty simple really.

Be careful what you wish for there Red Dawn. The trend can be seen clearly here:

Chris you have become totally irrelevant.

c) global warming does not predict every single year will be warmer than the last, only that the general trend will be upwards

Except the general trend has been down for the last seven years.

11 of the last 13 years have been the warmest on record, and that is a down trend? 1998 was a very strong El Nino year and produced record temperatures. By the same token, 2008 was a strong La Nina of exceptional duration, combined with a solar low. But it was still able to tie 2001 for the eighth warmest year on record. You simply have no facts.

And global warming alarmists always seem to forget to tell you that Water vapor is the greenhouse gas responsible for 95% of the greenhouse effect and that CO2 is responsible for less than 5% of the greenhouse effect.

Come on, you are smart enough to see through that stupidity. Water vapor has a residence time in the atmosphere of less than 10 days. CO2 for about two centuries. The warming of the atmosphere by CO2 draws water vapor up into the atmosphere. CO2 is the forcing mechanism, water vapor is a feedback.

A few things I think you guys are not aware of:

a) global warming does not predict that there will be no snow ever again.

b) global warming does not rest on an assumption that the climate cannot be changed by natural processes

c) global warming does not predict every single year will be warmer than the last, only that the general trend will be upwards

d) John Coleman is not a scientist and holds no degrees in science at all. His degree is in journalism and his career in TV weather and as a businessman.

Any question?

See, here is the result of a lack of education.

A perfect of example of those who didn't read "1984," where the government keeps changing who we are at war with, and some simply accept it.

Now here is a "true believer" who forgets that the original hoax was that we would all burn up. Now they call it "global change," and he will go with that as well.

I offered my suggestion that the bigger threat to the country was all those moving to Florida and warmer climes, from the north. Obviously the continent is about to tip over!

Stupid is as stupid does, and you certainly do.

But considering how much attention would have been lavished on a comparable run of hot weather or on a warming trend that was plainly accelerating, shouldn’t the recent cold phenomena and the absence of any global warming during the past 10 years be getting a little more notice? Isn’t it possible that the most apocalyptic voices of global-warming alarmism might not be the only ones worth listening to?

There is no shame in conceding that science still has a long way to go before it fully understands the immense complexity of the Earth’s ever-changing climate(s). It would be shameful not to concede it. The climate models on which so much global-warming alarmism rests “do not begin to describe the real world that we live in,” says Freeman Dyson, the eminent physicist and futurist. “The real world is muddy and messy and full of things that we do not yet understand.”

But for many people, the science of climate change is not nearly as important as the religion of climate change. When Al Gore insisted yet again at a conference last Thursday that there can be no debate about global warming, he was speaking not with the authority of a man of science, but with the closed-minded dogmatism of a religious zealot. Dogma and zealotry have their virtues, no doubt. But if we want to understand where global warming has gone, those aren’t the tools we need.

why exactly do you feel compelled to lie on this issue?

We can start with one simple premise: the Phd-trained scientists at NASA know more about trend analysis than you do.

This is NASA's graph of global mean temp. The red line is their trend analyis of average global mean temp., which shows a steady upward trend over the last seven years, over the last decade, and indeed over the last half century.

You and the other flat earthers have two choices now.

You can either admit you were wrong about the temperature trends.

Or, you can go back to lying that the earth has been cooling for the last seven years.

My guess? You're going to go back to lying, because you are invested in this issue in an emotional, partisan way....and you don't care about scientific facts

Can you even see the red line? It has started to curve down. Continue it through 2008 and dips even further down. Petty slight of hand?

Note the other points that dip down. Note that they have always returned to even higher highs. Now note that our present lows are higher than than most of our previous highs. The normal variation in weather overlays the rapidly increasing temperatures. If you are too dumb to read a graph, you are truly hopeless.
