New York Giants do not understand offensive line

This is just bad. The New York Giants aren't really a Super Bowl contender, but they should be a better team than that which played Dallas... wow, was that awful.

Rule 1 = big does not necessarily mean good. Evan Neal is not agile enough to play OT in the NFL, and that was painfully obvious last year.

Rule 2 = where an OL played in college does not necessarily mean that's where he should play in the NFL. In the case of 2nd year OL Joshua Ezeudu, the NYG initially got it right, as Josh played OLT last offseason waiting for the starter Thomas to get healthy. Then they switched him to OG, where he started (but rarely finished) his final year at UNC. In fact, the tape of UNC was quite clear. When Ezeudu moved out to OLT, which was most of his senior games early in the game, he really was impressive. Ezeudu is quick and athletic and balanced. Those traits also mean he is not "heavy legged" and hence not that ideal to stay inside. While "only" 6'4" he boasts length and hand size, and is more than adequately powered for OT in the NFL.

The Giants need to move Ezeudu to OT and Neal to OG. They should have done that 15 months ago.

Daniel Jones is still playing, unlike the other NY QB playing in front of five turnstiles.

Daniel Jones won't be playing for long if that offensive line doesn't improve ASAP....

He's a lot more mobile (and young) than Aaron Rodgers... so the odds of him staying healthy are a bit better.

Well, I did not get to see it, but Ezeudu played, apparently, the whole game at OLT. Reportedly he struggled in the first half, and then got it down... and the scoreboard reflects that...

Big Win for the BLUE....

Anyone watch the game??

Nice comeback.

Way to go Joshu Ezeudu!!!

Love this kid. Had three Ivy League offers - SMART!!!

Another one Vandy whiffed on!!!

  • OL Joshua Ezeudu (65.7)

and that's probably a 20 in the first half and a 90 in the second half.

Josh Ezeudu is an OT - THANK YOU!!!

Anyone who watched the Browns last night,

Dawand Jones is the biggest OT in the NFL, and he was absolutely torched the whole game...

BIG does not mean GOOD at OT.

Sincerely,

Nick Saban - sorry Tide fans....

Great quarterbacks will show that ability at some point. Jones is not that great at this point. The head coach has a good reputation.

The FIRST STEP to becoming a GREAT QB is to have QUALITY PASS PROTECTION....

Without PASS PROTECTION, Tom Brady wasn't "great" against the NYG in the Super Bowls...

"Filling in for Thomas at left tackle was Joshua Ezeudu, who according to PFF gave up just one total pressure against Arizona."

Not bad when your backup OLT goes in for first ever start at OT and does that....

Was taken a round and a half later than the NO Saint OLT, who is still getting torched...
