Taxpayers subsidize, governments borrow. Make it retroactive to 1/1/10. I've lost 35 lbs.

See? You'd take it if it was retroactive!! Congrats on your weight loss. Do you have a picture of you at 38 in '68 and one today that we can compare?

I was 7 in '68. I think I was about 50 pounds then. In '79 I was a 44R suit jacket with a 28waist. Suit jacket is the same, but the waist probably isn't going to get better than a 31 by fall. Anyways, I really have no interest in taking money from other hard working taxpayers for such a silly thing that already benefits me (weight loss).

Well I was kidding you about taking a retroactive subsidy, so no harm/no foul. The '38 in '68 refers to the avatar of "Neubarth" (sp) as himself side by side with his avie signature "Me at 38 in 1968." Several posters began mimicking that (it really wasn't a picture to be tremendously proud of).

Socialists/Progressives are clearly running amok at this point. Why declare war on indoor tanning owners and their customers? These are small business owners for the most part. Why attack and punish them this way. This is the main problem with Socialism/Communism in my opinion. It promotes targeting and attacking fellow citizens. These small business owners and their customers aren't our enemies. They're our fellow Americans for God's sake. These punitive taxes are a disgrace and go against everything our Founding Fathers stood for. That's why they gave the Brits the boot in the first place. The Democrats should be ashamed of themselves. These people are our fellow Americans. Our Government should be helping them to thrive,not attacking and punishing them. We need real change in this country. Time to wave bye bye to the Socialists/Progressives. Hopefully this will start happening in 2010. I guess we'll see though.

Socialism/Communism just doesn't work in the end. These kinds of punitive taxes are just wrong. They target and attack good hard working American Citizens. Socialism/Communism always leads to pitting citizen against citizen. I don't want my Government attacking and punishing these people just because Democrats now deem indoor tanning "Bad." It just isn't right. I hope more Americans are beginning to see what Socialism/Communism is doing to our nation. We desperately need change. Hopefully this will begin in 2010.
