ND-Mich St 1966 - all-time GAME OF THE CENTURY

Ended in a 10-10 tie.

But ND took care of business the nxt week against USC 51-0 .

Wasn't a national TV game at first

On the West Coast - ABC wasgoingto airCal/Stanford - then they changed theirminds andtheCal/Stanfordgamewaslimitedto theBay Area

recall beingpissed when atfirsttheCal/Stanford gamewasgoingto be shown instead ofND-Mich st

A TIE game should NEVER be considered as the "game of the century", just as "kissing your sister" (what tie games are often called) should not be considered the "kiss of the century".

There are so many more games to consider other than a TIE game from 1966.

How about the 1983 Orange Bowl game between Nebraska and Miami. 31-30 with Miami winning it's first national championship, and Tom Osborne going for two points and the win, and failing, and a freshman quarterback named Bernie Kosar leading the Hurricanes to victory.

Ohio State versus Miami, 2003 Fiesta Bowl. 31-24 with Ohio State winning the national championship in DOUBLE overtime.

I'll also throw in there the 2006 Rose Bowl between Texas and USC, with Vince Young leading the underdog Longhorns to a thrilling 41-38 victory and snapping USC's 34 game winning streak.

ND had given up around 35 points in 1966

Some Okla Sooner said - after ND beat them 38 -0

"IT felt like we were playingthe Green Bay Packers"
