Sorry, but just because your people find the moon to be "sacred" does not mean other people and their cultures feel as you do. It is not of the earth, you don't get to decide it's yours.
Just wait, any day now you'll be hearing indigenous people claiming white people stole their moon.

"The act of depositing human remains and other materials, which could be perceived as discards in any other location, on the moon is tantamount to desecration of this sacred space."

In the state of Oklahoma there are several small towns that are populated by the descendants of freed black people that were slaves of Indians.
But it’s easier for blacks to target whites as there are no shortages of white guilt folks out there.

I understand their view. The Earth, Moon, mountains, stars, wind, water, fire, are all sacred to them. Mauna Kea is sacred too and Hawaiians were none too happy with desecrating it with telescopes. But then, if no one ever told them that human remains were placed on the Moon, how would they know? You can't look up and just see that man has ever even gone to the Moon. Another sad reality of the modern world that our world is forever being changed by technology. Unfortunately, little comfort to these people who want to see the Moon remain pure and unchanged.

"Enslaved persons removed with the other nations ranged from approximately three hundred in the Creek Nation to more than twelve hundred in the Chickasaw Nation. When the Civil War erupted in 1861, more than eight thousand blacks were enslaved in Indian Territory. They comprised 14 percent of the population."

Wow... another dumb vs dumb fight. Why would anyone want to dump human remains on the moon? And why does anyone give a shit?

If you see no value in it, that’s cool. Don’t do it.

And why does anyone give a shit?
People care because it’s not the business of any group (including the Navajo) to try to prevent anyone else from having some cremains sent to the moon.
