I watched one tonight about sneaky animals who hunt. The orchid mantis, that looks just like a blossum and snags flying bugs that land on it...the monkeys in Indonesia that steal your flipflops or eyeglasses and won't give them back unless you toss the right food they want....the owl that takes dried up cow dung and brings it near her burrow and then waits for dung bugs to come fetch it then she pounces...the bird that mimics warning calls so other birds fly away then steals the food they leave behind...the otters who kidnap baby otters and when the mom leaves the food, he releases her pup. Fascinating stuff.
Anyone else love watching these shows? The ones I mentioned above I had no clue about until tonight! Then I watched Nova...about krill. So tiny and so many needed by BIG guys like whales.
I guess tonight is nature night cuz another one is coming on in a few.
