"Muhammad" Most Popular Name In Britain

It's the most popular NEWBORN name, and a very bad sign for the future.

Totally fucking wrong.
It isn't the most popular, and it'll be a bloody good thing when it is.
The sampling mentioned was eight (8%) of UK births for the year.

Statistically significant, if not entirely authoritative.

Some UK media outlets hold that it's sufficiently authenticated to use as the basis for such claims.

Other UK media outlets hold that the national data service(s) seem to indicate otherwise.

Those same 'others' (trying to debunk the claim) spend a lot of time pissing and moaning about combining variations on the name Muhammed.

Those same 'others' also fail to tell us whether the combining of any other name(s) would yield a result higher than the combined Muhammed result.

I wonder why?

Could it be that the combining of variants of other names (within reason) would NOT yield a result higher than the combined Muhammed result?

Something that would sweep aside the 'combining variations of Muhammed' objection as statistically irrelevant to the outcome?

That's my own first suspicious guess, but I could, of course, be wrong.

In any event... further analysis seems indicated.

Meanwhile, it looks like the original claim can stand for a while, after all - at least until it's authoritatively debunked - if ever.

Figures from the Baby Centre showed that when different spellings, including Muhammad and Mohammad, are combined,it takes the top spot – up 27 places from last year.

Well, it would if you weren't a fucking idiot without a clue.
That chart, taken from here, doesn't show the most popular name, it shows the rise in popularity.
Have the supporting link.

Baby Name Details - Muhammad - BabyCentre

With its combined spellings Muhammad is at number 28 in BabyCentre UK's top 100 chart and continues to rise.

Please fuck off and get an education - moron.
Yeah? Are you having reading comprehension problems from banging your head on the rug and lifting your ass up in the air too much during prayer?

Maybe if you stopped being a neanderthal Mooooslem you would understand that WHEN THE SAME LIST COMBINES THE DIFFERENT VARIATIONS OF MOHAMMAD, (like dog, shit, Muhammad, toilet, piss, terrorist, Mohammad, Mohamad, thief etc.) THE NAME RISES TO TOP OF THE LIST.

Again, this is why you Wingnuts need to stop getting your news from the Moonies.

Muhammad isn t the UK s most popular baby name it s Harry - Mirror Online

In fact, there are almost twice as many Tommys, Harrys and Henrys as Muhammads (all variants).

So, yes, Muhammad is a significant name in the UK, IF you combine the variant spellings. But in the ONS's top 100, the only other obviously Islamic name is Ibrahim - suggesting that Muslim families who do use traditional names have a much smaller pool to choose from. Thus those names crop up a lot.

The point being, we're talking about England, not the Middle East.

There should be a hundred times as many Tommys, Harrys and Henrys, or a thousand times as many - not twice as many.

A sign of the times, and a sign of the undermining and decline and dissipation of a formerly great nation and civilizing influence upon the world.

Damned shame, really, but, it's their own damned fault. for (a) letting so many in, then (b) not recognizing the cultural threat and (c) lacking the courage to act on the threat.

Same with Germany, and maybe even France.

There's a lesson in that, for the remainder of The West that has not yet been so infected.

Actually, I would say 90% of the world's problems are due to the United Kingdom and their sad attempts at Empire.

But the fact that one subculture has a very limited selection of names isn't one of them.

Why would it be a good thing?

Why would it be a bad thing?

See -- this is what Kondor calls "obtuse", when I challenge the existence of the bridge from premise to conclusion, and he doesn't want to admit the bridge doesn't exist.

What do you call a drunk Muslim? Hamed.

What do you call him after he gets even more drunk?
