Just a note, have you ever heard the old saying "you can get an indictment against a ham sandwich"? The reason is, only the prosecutions case is presented to a grand jury. The grand jury decides if there is enough evidence to sustain a particular charge. It's up to the defense to present exculpatory evidence at trial. In a trial it's called a "Brady Violation" if the prosecution withholds exculpatory evidence from the defense in discovery. That doesn't apply to the grand jury.
