His offense? Being too critical of Trump. Yep, more of our "liberal media" in action. Cable news now runs the gamut from "conservative" to "propaganda arm of Russia and Trump".
Maddow? Her days are numbered. Her stellar ratings keep her around for now, but ratings aren't enough. MSNBC hired Greta, George Will, Hugh Hewitt, Nicolle Wallace, Megyn Kelly. They have substantially more conservatives than liberals being aired. It's a conservative network, and someone would have to be snarfing lead paint chips to deny it.
It's Andy Lack and Phil Griffin. They just want to make a buck. I imagine they know ratings will crash, just as they crashed for CNN when CNN tried to be FOX-lite. There's no demand for even more conservative-slanted news. However, Comcast (the parent company) makes more if they get virtual monopoly powers from Republicans, so they'll take the small loss here and push the Republican agenda.
