I doubt the movie talks about this angle but many people think teddy was framed. The bankers hated the kennedys mainly because JFK tried to bring back govt-printed money as opposed to bank-printed money. That's why both jfk and rfk were brazenly murdered by "lone gunmen". No one believed that and the bankers knew they couldn't murder a third kennedy brother and so they got rid of him this way.

I think his life was out of control. 2 brothers shot to death in 6 years, one a year BEFORE this tragedy. A marriage on the rocks. Playing uncle, stand in dad and real dad to 14 or 15 kids. Whose own father was basically non functional due to a stroke and failing at the time.. (Didn't Joe die later that year?). And likely his own drinking problem developing.

I was neither a FAN nor disliked Kennedy. I've ALWAYS sai d that was one helluva a LOAD heaped on one young man's shoulders, no matter how much money he had.

He, in the end, turned into "The Lion of the Senate". He turned it around.
