In other news, most people don’t want to date the mentally ill.

A recent Journal of Social and Personal Relationships study found that nearly 90 percent of survey respondents are not interested in dating transgender people. In a Psychology Today article on the study, coauthor Karen Blair implies these findings demonstrate significant discrimination--or at least an unwillingness to be inclusive—in dating.

However, instead of pointing out the obvious truth that biological cues are foundational for sexual and romantic attraction, the author goes to great lengths to convey sympathy for the exclusion of transgenders in the dating field as if it's merely a social justice issue. This is yet another avenue progressives are using to encourage others to deny biological reality and normalize abnormal behaviors.
...

The results showed "87.5% of the participants who were asked this very question only checked off the cisgender options and excluded transgender and non-binary individuals from their hypothetical dating pool."

Blair explains how important finding love is to happiness. Hardly anyone would disagree with her there. Then she goes on to say, "If very few people are willing to date trans people, what does this mean for their health and well-being? If trans and non-binary people lack access to one of the most stable sources of social support, this could explain some of the existing health disparities within trans communities."

That's amusing.

Personally I am, and ever shall be, significantly discriminating. I will tolerate oddity to a degree, but I'm not much for inclusiveness where concerns the blithering bizarreness of which humans are capable.

I was raised with certain standards. They have served me well. I have no reason to discard them.

The social justice democrats will find some way of forcing normal people into dating trans.

I've seen some people say that mental illness is what drove my late beautiful precious Steve Sanders of the Oak Ridge Boys to his suicide.......because of other things that I have learned about him, I will never believe for a second that mental illness is what made him choose a gun to be his final meal. Those who slap the head case sticker on him may fool some of his fans, but they will NEVER fool me. Never. Why not? Because I spend too much time considering who is labeling him a head case.

God bless you and those who have loved him longer than me always!!!

Holly

P.S. In other words, if the beautiful precious were still here, I'd go out with him, but of course him being here would make him a married man still. Dang!

Let me get this straight- somebody in the world of psychology didn’t already in their gut know that the VAST majority of people would not want to date a transgender person?

In other news....a recent survey found that 94% of straight people only date people of the opposite sex. Further studies will be conducted to determine why straights are discriminating towards gays when they choose a person to date.

Dating, hell why shouldn't even be at risk to be in the same air space.
They should be required to visibly identify themselves so we can choose to remove ourselves from anywhere they happen to be.

Maybe a brand or tattoo on their forehead...

Only thing I couldn’t find is how much money they got for this earthshaking study. And yes, the next study is why so many are ‘transphobic’.
