$4.4 BILLION worth of ship can't make it from east to west coast without breaking down. What's this doing to the morale of our sailors? Or does it show a lack of skills to keep these highly-advanced ships afloat.

You know, while stuff like this doesn't happen very often, it DOES happen once in a while.

I know there were a couple of times that we lost all power and were "hot and dark" (no power, no AC, no water) for several hours until Engineering got the ship fixed. Fortunately, our ship was fairly basic and the parts were onboard to fix it.

A ship like this? Well............it's gonna have the newest and best of whatever they can stuff in it. And, to be fair, they are still in their shakedown period where they run the ship as hard as they can to see what breaks.

The saltwater leaks are kinda scary though. If they are in the right (or wrong, depending on your perspective) areas, it could really screw up the engineering space.

... but if dey's failing to keep coal inna hopper..

... den it's dey's own fault."
