More stabbings and shootings in Britain....gun control there isn't working...

A 14 year old...a 19 year old.....they banned and confiscated guns in Britain..so I am pretty sure that the kids who shot these kids couldn't have a gun legally in Britain....

Teen knifed outside Tube station amid week of violence in London

A 14-year-old was left with “life-changing injuries” after a shooting outside Seven Sisters on Tuesday.

The teen managed to stagger into the station to seek help after being attacked in a nearby estate at about 11pm.

On the same evening, but in a separate incident, a 20-year-old man was shot dead in Walthamstow.

Last week, rapper Kelvin Odunuyi, 19, was shot dead as he stood with friends outside a cinema in nearby Wood Green. His killing is believed to be connected to a postcode war orchestrated by gangs in Wood Green and Tottenha

Young man shot dead in second fatal gun attack in London in a week

A young man was shot dead in north-east London in the second fatal gun attack in the capital in a week.

A murder investigation was launched after the 20-year-old was killed in Forest Road in Walthamstow on Wednesday night.

Police were called to reports of shots fired in Forest Road at 9.30pm.

Officers and medics found him suffering from a gunshot injury. He was treated at the scene but pronounced dead at 10.45pm.

There have been no arrests.

The fatal shooting happened within an hour of an 18-year-old being stabbed to death in Chadwell Heath, east London.

It also came a week after 19-year-old Kelvin Odunuyi was shot dead outside a Vue cinema in Wood Green.

Eight teenagers have been killed in London already this yea

So if the UK had the same rate of similar shootings as the US, how many would it have had? Please show your workings.

If I have it right, from your cites that's two in a week for the UK.

No need to......British criminals, for now, are not as prone to commit murder. But since their gun murder rate did not change after they banned guns....this doesn't help your argument. You would need to show that banning guns and confiscating guns lowered their gun murder rate. It didn't, so that part of your point is dumb.

The real point? Britain banned and confiscated guns...and their gun crime rate is going up, not down...it is up 23% across England and Wales, and up 42% in London....

Their gun control laws were created by telling British people that by giving up their guns ,they would have less gun crime....their gun crime rate has gone up, not down.

In the United States.....more Americans own and over 17 million now carry guns for self defense...our gun murder rate went down 49%...Britain's...didn't change. Our gun crime rate went down 75%......Britain...it keeps going up......our violent crime rate went down 72%....Britain....their violent crime rate is up all over the country, in some areas up 95%....

More guns = less gun crime...

We went from 200 million guns in private hands in the 1990s and 4.7 million people carrying guns for self defense in 1997...to close to 400-600 million guns in private hands and over 17 million people carrying guns for self defense in 2017...guess what happened...
-- gun murder down 49%

--gun crime down 75%

--violent crime down 72%

Gun Homicide Rate Down 49% Since 1993 Peak; Public Unaware

Compared with 1993, the peak of U.S. gun homicides, the firearm homicide rate was 49% lower in 2010, and there were fewer deaths, even though the nation’s population grew. The victimization rate for other violent crimes with a firearm—assaults, robberies and sex crimes—was 75% lower in 2011 than in 1993. Violent non-fatal crime victimization overall (with or without a firearm) also is down markedly (72%) over two decades.

Let's see. From List of countries by firearm-related death rate - Wikipedia
we see the Firearm homicide death rate per 100,000 population per year for the UK in 2014 was 0.06 while for the US it was 3.5.
Call the population of the UK 66 million
Call the population of the US 327 million
Using those figures, to match the US the UK would have had to have suffered 44 firearm homicides in a week.

That's 3.5x327,000,000/100,000/52=220 US firearm homicides/week

220x66/327=44 UK firearm homicides/week at the US rate.

Shouldn't you be concerned with the effect of the lack of gun control on US firearm homicide rates?

You don't understand.....you guys never do....

The British banned and confiscated guns...their gun murder rate did not change.

Their gun crime rate keeps going up.

That does not show that their gun control laws lower their crime or murder rates....

IN the U.S., more Americans own and carry guns than they did in the 1990s....our gun crime and murder rates went down....

this shows that law abiding citizens owning guns do not increase the crime rate....

We went from 200 million guns in private hands in the 1990s and 4.7 million people carrying guns for self defense in 1997...to close to 400-600 million guns in private hands and over 17 million people carrying guns for self defense in 2017...guess what happened...

Homicide rates....our rates are going down...as more Americans not only own guns...but as 17 million Americans actually carry guns for self defense...

The actual facts....

Yet the US firearm homicide rate is miles higher than the UK's with its gun control. Miles. It's staring you in the face and you ignore it all the time. A real raving loony.

When do you think the UK might be as safe as the US ?

Speaking of mental delinquents......

Conveniently, you omit the FACT that only a minute fraction of all those homicides are neither suicides or gang related.

I will concede, however, that as "progressive" / liberal policies gain traction, so does the homicide rate proportionately. The proof? The homicide / violent crime rate in blue states exceeds that in true Red states by approximately 96%.....even though Red states proportionately have more guns......

Hmmmmmm.........

Progressive policies are literally killing their supporters. Where are homicides and violent crime rampant? You guessed it....Progressive / liberal controlled areas.....Chicago.....Los Angeles etc. (oh, they also seem to attract the most gang violence too.)

Go figure.....

Did you know Venezuela has "Gun Control" laws you'd approve of? (Oh wait!...they just became a Dictatorship).....You probably had no clue.

Did you know China has "Gun Control" laws that you'd approve of? (Oh wait!, China ALSO just became a Dictatorship).........You probably had no clue.

It seems ALL progressives and most liberals want Dictators and the horrors and human suffering and massive loss of human life associated with them. Progressive maniacs crave societies like North Korea....where the citizens are totally disarmed....and used, abused, starved and manipulated by their beloved dictator.

But they never want to live there.....they just want to bring it to YOUR neighborhood.....then move to a neighborhood where their policies don't yet exist......like a nasty virus....and keep spreading it.

No thanks......I'll keep my Dictator Deterrence......but never would I lift a finger, nor waste a perfectly good bullet, to protect you or yours. ;-)

When do you think the UK might be as safe as the US ?

Easy.....

When the majority of progressives and liberals in the UK grow up and realize the ignorance of their ways.

Maybe the dramatic rise of gun violence, acid attacks, rapes, robberies and assaults in the UK will speed that process along. I doubt it.
It takes intelligence to improve ones condition in life.

btw...safe from what or whom? We haven't had any Russian poisonings here in the US yet.

What the fuck do you think homicide means? I'll help you by typing it slowly. I t m e a n s i t ' s n o t a s u i c i d e.

Well to be more specific. When will our homicide rate be the same as the US ? All of us over here are looking forward to that day when we will be protected.

The UK would need about 44 firearm homicides a week to match the US in firearm murders. At the moment it has around
0.06x66,000,000/100,000/52=0.8
firearm homicides/week. And you witter about safety.

The basic human unit seems to be a bit of a dog in the comprehension and logic departments.
