Most Americans used to support an assault weapons ban. Not anymore.

So since the left keeps claiming that what the people want should decide things, the majority are opposed to MORE firearms control 59 percent to 30 percent.

There is no serious proposal to enact a new AWB in Congress – any such legislation won't even make it out of committee – whether democrats or republicans control Congress.

This is just more partisan nonsense from the right, more lies from the right, more fear-mongering and demagoguery from the right, an effort by most on the right to contrive a controversy where none exists for some perceived partisan gain, devoid of fact or merit.

"Assault Weapons" are words used by gun control wacko's to scare the ignorant. Using the words in this poll I'm betting ABC and The Washington Post where hoping for a different outcome
