This is a TrumpUSA vignette about Microsoft 'aesthetics' inspired by the film Boiler Room.

Since it's a capitalism-parable, I didn't feel comfy posting it in the Writing section of USMB, but what do you think?

Cheers (signing off) --- MERRY CHRISTMAS

"My name is Mordred. I'm a knight from Medieval England, and I like wearing an armor of gold as I challenge the majesty of Arthur's fabled kingdom of Camelot. I've traveled through time using a portal opened by the wizard Merlin and landed in 21st Century Earth, in 'TrumpUSA' (a 'beacon' of 'capitalism-theory'). I've been evaluating the American value of Microsoft and capitalism globalization through post-Industrialization commerce (e.g., World Bank, Wall Street). It seems that Americans are wrestling to coordinate capitalism (a risk and profit based competition-system) with democracy (a trust and editor weighted election philosophy). As Mordred, I want to understand/appreciate why capitalism is 'tempered' by considerations about basic human vanities."

"Bill Gates made Microsoft a global modern software and computer industry giant/titan. Microsoft will be compared to Disney, IBM, Chrysler, British Airways, and even the Encyclopedia Britannica by historians of world culture and 'capitalism monuments.' Just imagine idealistic computer science students at MIT in America daydreaming about finding fortune in this post-Industrialization 'matrix' of exploration and speculation or even an ideal 'Sleeping Beauty princess' who could 'enhance' their spiritual journey towards the American Dream(!). It seems to me that TrumpUSA is a 'bastion' of capitalism-rhetoric, and given that U.S. President Donald Trump was a capitalism-baron, casino-mogul, and only the second celebrity-president in American history (after Ronald Reagan), it seems like a 'grammatical adventure' to evaluate how Christian ideology (e.g., Rapture/Armageddon) has colored Americans' views on hero-worship (and democracy landscaping!)."

"Jesus warned of selling doves in the temple of God. In Camelot, we consider how the vanities of monarchy cloud even King Arthur's judgments in matters of society and fashion. To challenge the authority of Camelot (as a 'Devil's Advocate'), I sometimes use Christian 'apocrypha' to leverage governance with revolution. After all, the idea behind social organization is of course inventiveness and imagination(!). In TrumpUSA, the frivolities of consumerism-culture (e.g., Burger King, Wall Street) make for interesting production discussions (e.g., DreamWorks). Warlocks in Camelot focus on political ornaments, and warlocks in TrumpUSA focus on investment ornaments. That's what seems to make capitalism a thing of great imaginary warfare --- the notion of speculative risk. That's the metaphysical lesson about Christian rapture (e.g., Jonah and the Whale) I'll take back with me to Camelot when I re-enter Merlin's time-portal. I'll also be taking a copy of the fortitude-fable Sleeping Beauty (a relevant symbolic tale of patience and duty)."

MERLIN: I've discovered much, Merlin!
MORDRED: What was TrumpUSA to you, Mordred?
MERLIN: It was a 'tower' of commercial ambition.
MORDRED: How was it similar to Arthur's Camelot?
MERLIN: There was much 'ornamentation' about lifestyle-rhetoric.
MORDRED: For example?
MERLIN: The software giant Microsoft symbolized capitalism and consumerism.
MORDRED: Are capitalism and consumerism different somehow?
MERLIN: Yes, partly; capitalism is ambition-rhetoric; consumerism is convenience-ethos.
MORDRED: So consumerism is the 'arm' that feeds the 'body' of capitalism!
MERLIN: Yes; the fictional dragon fighting the prince rescuing Sleeping Beauty is a 'pirate.'
MORDRED: So humanity is evolving to meditate on the quality of ambition...and control.
MERLIN: I think so; Christian democracy in TrumpUSA has much to do with censorship.
MORDRED: American media in TrumpUSA seems 'trust-based'; interesting work, Mordred!
