[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63nhSFFFfJ4]Monkees Screen Tests - YouTube[/ame] A few minutes were the same I've seen from many sources. But there was a lot of new material to me, including tests by people who didn't make it. I only recognized one of the folks who didn't make it well enough to ID him. The kid who played "Blue Boy" from the Dragnet LSD episode. His name is Michael Burns. After his childhood acting career he went on to become a history professor, married the president of Mount Holyoke College, and retired to raise thoroughbred horses. What if he had been in the Monkees and not Davy Jones? Would the Monkees have gone off into the sunset and never returned after the series ended? Or would my husband and I have gone to see Michael Burns play the tambourine in Monkees reunion concerts in the 1990's and Davy Jones would have been the ex-child-actor who went on to a career in relative obscurity?
