What does "high government involvement" mean? Your definition leaves very much open to interpretation. "Socialism" could be an extreme of that, but when was the last time you heard a liberal calling for the government to take over all industry? I'd say that modern liberals would be more Keynesian capitalists than socialists.Okay so we had a reading lesson in poli sci today and here are some things i learned, but kinda already knew about the left and right.
Modern Liberals support high government involvement in industry and businesses, but little to none in social issues.
Once again, a very simplified and open-ended definition. I'd submit to you that not 2 conservatives or liberals believe in exactly the same things, so your entire point is pretty much moot.Modern conservatives support little to no government involvement in industry and business, but high government involvement in social issues.
Maybe if you're in high school.Socialism
1. a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.
In definition, modern liberals are socialists. haha.
Once again, the tendency to over-simply and generalize just kinda makes you look foolish. Why do you think there are so many different words people put in front of "liberal" or "conservative" (neo-conservative, classical liberal, paleo-conservative, neo-liberal). Neither "liberal" nor "conservative" have any agreed upon definition anymore.
Once again, your point is moot.
