Mitt Romney bullying story holds up to scrutiny

Lefties seem to want to keep this story alive. Go ahead, Romney surged ahead another seven or eight points because of it. Everyone knows the story is part of the democrat dirty tricks squad. The hypocrisy is stunning when the left supported a president a few years ago who turned out to be a serial abuser of women and was actually accused of rape and now they forlornly cling to the hope that a schoolyard episode might influence candidacy of a republican.

Serial abuser of women..that takes the cake.

Had he raped anyone..Republicans would have had a field day. As it was..they put Paula Jones up to some ridiculous shennigans that led to Clinton's impeachment. Later, she admitted that it was Republicans that urged her to do what she did..

Right before posing in Penthouse.

You guys are laugh riots.

Anybody think Mitt has the balls to stand up for his religion tomorrow at the bible thumper college?

I think this is an important issue. So far, Mitt has weasled away from questions about Mormonism. Will he grow a pair? Or, will he throw his fellow norms under the bus because he'd rather get elected than than have any actual integrity. Will he tacitly agree with the course taught at Liberty that says Mormonism s a cult?

Will Mitt ever act like a man about any issue?

BTW, remember when Obama stood up, straight and tall and talked very openly and honestly about Rev Wright? Even if you're an Obama hater, at least he behaved like a man and faced the country.

When will Mitt do the same?

Actually Mitt did quite a good job explaining his religion at the Liberty commencement.

Still cant stand the guy, but he did do an outstanding job in that regards.

And what do you mean when Obama stood up and talked openly and honestly about Rev. Wright?
I could no more disavow Rev. Write than I could my own grandmother...whom he did throw under a bus?
or
I sat in his pew listening to his sermons for over 20 years and never heard him say racist things

The Post's ombudsman looked at the wingnut blogs, and stands by the story.

Mitt Romney bullying story holds up to scrutiny

Four of the five witnesses to the forcible haircut cited by the Post are on the record, by name, and remember it well. Their accounts remain unchallenged. I also think it’s important to point out that Romney quickly apologized after the story was published, and although not a detailed apology, I think his demeanor in the apology seemed genuine.

...

The Post has received no specific complaint of inaccuracy from the Lauber family, Merida said. “We stand by the story. It’s a full portrait. It’s the story of Mitt Romney’s years at Cranbrook.”

Certainly there is NO coincidence in Obama coming out in support of Gay marriage--and then on the same or next day came out with this ridiculous 50 year old story--of Romney being a "bully" in high school--LOL.

In fact the sister of Romney's alleged victim stated this in an ABC report:

The older sister of Mitt Romney’s former high school classmate said she has no knowledge of any bullying incident involving her brother and the GOP presidential candidate.

Christine Lauber of South Bend, Ind., had not seen the Washington Post’s story that described an incident when Mitt Romney bullied her brother, but said she was aware of the story. The incident centered around Romney allegedly holding the scissors to help cut the hair of John Lauber, who was presumed to be gay and who had long hair.

Betsy Lauber, one of John Lauber’s three sisters, spoke with ABC News Tuesday night regarding the accuracy of the story.

“The family of John Lauber is releasing a statement saying the portrayal of John is factually incorrect and we are aggrieved that he would be used to further a political agenda. There will be no more comments from the family,” she said.

FURTHERMORE--In a Politico article--dated August 11, 2011-(almost 1 year ago)---the Obama election committee states how they're going to go after Romney. Obama plan--Destroy Romney.

Barack Obama’s aides and advisers are preparing to center the president’s reelection campaign on a ferocious personal assault on Mitt Romney’s character and business background, a strategy grounded in the early-stage expectation that the former Massachusetts governor is the likely GOP nominee.

The dramatic and unabashedly negative turn is the product of political reality. Obama remains personally popular, but pluralities in recent polling disapprove of his handling of his job, and Americans fear the country is on the wrong track. His aides are increasingly resigned to running for reelection in a glum nation. And so the candidate who ran on “hope” in 2008 has little choice four years later but to run a slashing, personal campaign aimed at disqualifying his likeliest opponent.

Learn to use the quote function properly so you don't end up looking like a dumbass, arguing with yourself.

There is nothing about race in the OP or in any of the posts leading up to Toad's injection of race into the discussion.

Which he only did because he got caught yet again lying through his tooth.

Poor Obama isn't responsible for the $5 trillion in added debt.
So who is?
You made the claim, wingnut. Prove it, and show how Obama spent $5 trillion.

You fucking liar.

Well, he is President.
Is he responsible for anything?

Not for spending, you idiot! Read the fucking Constitution!

Every Bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a Law, be presented to the President of the United States; If he approve he shall sign it, but if not he shall return it,
