Millions of Californians to get state funded stimulus

Just can’t win with you guys. California takes a balanced budget that generates a positive cash flow of almost $100M and you guys complain. Then they refund money back to taxpayers which is a republican dream… and you guys still complain. I’m starting to think you guys value partisanship over values and policy. No way, right?
They refunded the surplus back to the overtaxed citizens, after the State tax bureaucrats all got paid off, and ended up with less money than they would have had were they not overtaxed.
And assholes like you say that they should be grateful.
wow

It's exactly like the cliché about government breaking your leg, and you're supposed to be grateful when it provides you with a crutch.

wow
They are paying their way and sending your state money. Asshole.

5th biggest economy in the world, balanced budget (surplus) and you think they are doing it wrong? Where’s the fuck do you live?

California shows how to be fiscally responsible refunding citizens money from the record setting $97B surplus.

More than half of California's residents may soon receive a stimulus check from the state, Gov. Gavin Newsom's office announced earlier this week.

As part of an inflation relief package worth $17 billion, an estimated 23 million eligible Californians will receive payments, totaling up to $1,050 for joint filers with at least one dependent, later this fall. The relief package will be paid for by a record-setting $97 billion state budget surplus.
Refunding a small portion of the wetback fund?

Really pisses right wingers off when they hear about a politician giving to the average person. Look at so many of the red states...lot and lots of poverty and shit wages. But lots and lots of guns.

Yet another facile-minded bootlicker of The State, who doesn't recognize that the funds belong to those who earned them in the first place.....Nobody is being "given" anything, that wasn't looted from them.

Newsom is doing this because he’s the lead candidate for president for the Democrats in 2024. In other words, after fucking up California (to the point of a recall) he wants to do the same to the entire country. But we shouldn’t be surprised, he fits right in with the other Democrat stalinist fascists that care very little about their country or it’s people.

I continue to be amazed at how many people there are, who are so damn stupid that they think that government does them a favor by stealing some of their money, and then giving them back some small scraps of what it has stolen from them.
I continue to be amazed how so many people want things for free. Paying taxes is not stealing. Do you pay your bills at home? Do you spend every nickel that comes to you or do you think it`s prudent to keep a rainy day fund.

And you fail to see recent examples of why this causes inflation.
