The problem here is that the left can't seem to differentiate between the gun and the shooter. In every case, the blame is put squarely on the gun. The shooter on the other hand, is one to be pitied: He was probably "bullied" or "had a bad childhood."

The liberals feel that given some rehabilitation, the shooter might someday become a useful member of their society. And then they immediately go after the guns.
