Here's a pseudo-metaphysics tale about deities descending on Earth and dealing with the ridiculous problems of our arguably pedestrianism-proletariat 'TrumpUSA.'
All we need is some entertaining 'hubris storytelling'!
====
Few people realized there were actually two Shivas, and they both lived in the Himalayas of Nepal and presided over the metaphysical force of destruction (in water, fire, stone, electricity, and mud). They both descended on Earth one day and disguised themselves as twins (brothers) working as American vigilantes. One was named Elias and the other was named Elmer. Elias and Elmer posted pictures of themselves in outlandish costumes (on Internet blogs) meant to portray themselves as incredible 'crusaders' but in 'normal' pedestrian fashion (so they wouldn't look like fanatics). The Elias-Shiva was a normal-limbed deity, while the Elmer-Shiva was a multiple-limbed deity, so as one would imagine, Elias was focused on 'political idealism,' while Elmer was focused on 'mass psychology.'
The main reason the two Shivas descended upon Earth and costumed themselves as the Internet-blogging American vigilantes Elias and Elmer was that a new phantom-menace was plaguing society --- the Headless Horseman. This spook leaped out of the pages of historical folklore/movies, and some detectives suspected he was simply a 'copycat killer,' but Elias and Elmer knew he was the real ghost come out of the metaphysical dimension of human imagination. The Headless Horseman wanted to frighten Americans about the consumerism-culture of TrumpUSA (e.g., Wall Street, Facebook, eBay, etc., etc.) by stalking librarians walking home at night or to their parked cars. These librarians would report, "I saw a shadowy figure on a horse but no head and carrying an axe!" The Headless Horseman demoralized Americans' optimism regarding pedestrian sanity.
Elias-Shiva and Elmer-Shiva responded by posting on their Internet blogs various idealistic messages about the power of photo-sharing, memory, democratic conversation, and academic patriotism. They would say things like, "Why fear the Headless Horseman when you should really focus on the everyday complexities involved with capitalism-intrigue, TrumpUSA cynicism, and pedestrian corruption (e.g., Enron, Fisher-Buttafuoco, 9/11, etc.)?" Their posts got a tremendous following, and soon the Headless Horseman's 'mystique' started to diminish, as many people started feeling that countering the demons of modernism simply required a touch of 'bureaucratic faith.' The Headless Horseman miraculously (and simply) vanished, and the two Shivas returned to heaven and remarked to themselves in spiritual satisfaction, "It's great that we were not victims of 'dystopian psychosis'!"
