Medicare for all?

The Medicare / Medicare Advantage / Medicare Supplement system, with sliding prices by age and a strong preventive/diagnostic foundation, absolutely, you bet.

An already-functioning and popular private/public partnership that allows for dynamic free market competition and innovation, while taking a massive cost monkey off the backs of American employers.

If that's what they mean, I'm in. Of course, who knows that they mean, and they may have no idea, as usual.

Anything like Obama care/Medicare/single payer should be an opt in only… No one should be forced into that shit

WTF? Lol
Democrats back Medicare for all in about half of House races they're contesting

Just another forced socialist entitlement program on millions of people that would not benefit from it at all and obviously cannot afford it...

While The mandate was not forced for a very long still bankrupted millions of American conservatives… This would be every bit as bad for conservatives....

There is no fucking way the mandate bankrupted anyone, it was a tiny amount

I've always agreed with you on this and still do. But give a person such as rustic an opt out option and no re entry for at least 10 years just in case they get sick and want to join at their leisure. I have been in this so long I have become callous, if someone don't want and they get sick too damn bad.

I'm open to anything. The problem is that so much of the populace have absolutely no idea how that system works, and literally don't want to know.

If we ever got to a place where it was going into effect, I hope that education on it would be able to get past partisan talking points.

First of all an “opt out” is no good, It Has to be an opt in. That way the only people that want it will get it. And I have never bought insurance in my life, never will. I’ve been self employed for over 25 years, and out of debt for 20+ years. Me and my family don’t need a safety net of any sort.
It is not up to the collective to take care of me, I want no part of the fucking collective, fuck the collective...

Well I have and will continue for a few weeks to do seminars and yes it is very hard to educate someone turning 65 on MAPD's but most, not all that have been on one for a few years love them and I am one of them. The most I ever paid out of pocket and that was recently is $1475.00 for a 14 day stay in the hospital. If I would have opted for a Medicare supplement and Part D over the past 5 years would have paid roughly $15000 in premium's and this is my most expensive year under the MAPD.

You would think they would be touting Obamacare since they just passed it and the ink is not even dry on the Obamacare legislation.

Guess it sucks so bad they need to repeal and replace it.

Who knew?

I don't believe the average person understands how medicare
works.

People don't understand that folks on medicare, if they want
doctor coverage and then want to ass prescription coverage
have to pay for those services.

Medicare, alone is just an excellent catastrophic event plan with
some other benefits. The daily stuff and medications you have
to pay for.

Obamacare was supposed to get the poor off of using the ER for
aches and pains and then not paying the Hospital.

Nothing changed with Obamacare. Yes, some were forced into
buying it. But they didn't go to regular doctors they continued to go
to ER's and then stiff the Hospital. They couldn't afford the co-pays.
Meanwhile Obamacare drove a number of businesses away from
providing Ins for their employees and/or reducing their hours under
the 30-hour minimum per week, that was the threshold for providing
Health Insurance.

The majority of the Country enjoys company paid benefits. The companies
are footing the bill will contributions from the employees.

Everybody is fooling themselves if they believe Medicare for all is
going to be any different. The poor will still flood the ER and then stiff the
Hospital.
