Matt Taibbi: Fuck the business community!

Taibbi is the man. Like him or not you gotta take what he says seriously. He is one of the best investigative newsmen in the nation and his articles on the causes of the recession are all outstanding.

The first thing you need to know about Goldman Sachs is that it's everywhere. The world's most powerful investment bank is a great vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity, relentlessly jamming its blood funnel into anything that smells like money. In fact, the history of the recent financial crisis, which doubles as a history of the rapid decline and fall of the suddenly swindled dry American empire, reads like a Who's Who of Goldman Sachs graduates.

Taibbi?s Takedown of ?Vampire Squid? Goldman Sachs | Rolling Stone Politics

Just one of many brilliant exposes.

I didn't like this Vampire Squid article at all. Criticisms of Goldman during this crisis are very fair, but it was pretty clear that he wrote an article with a conclusion in mind then back-filled and selectively molded facts to fit his thesis.

But you can't dispute his facts and they were legion.

I can dispute his interpretation of his facts. He leaves the impression that Goldman is behind all the bad stuff that has happened in the market over the past century. That's nonsense. Goldman was a minor player in the Tech Bubble, for example. Most of the crap that was floated during the Tech Bubble was not underwritten by Goldman.

Fair enough, but the article was not about the tech bubble in 2001, it was about the bubble economy since then.

And there has been a kind of changing of the guard as Citi and JPM have declining influence since 2000 while Goldman has been established as the insider's bank of late.

Socialists/Progressives are clueless. I don't think that's news to anyone. Rolling Stone blows.

Oh, yes, because the attitude that demands the business community provide jobs despite the left's anti-business attitude AND gratefully accept leftist abuse is so well-grounded. :clap2:

You clearly have not read any of Taibbi's articles.
If they're summed up by "Fuck the business community!", I don't really need to.

Then don't pretend to have an opinion about his pov, or his attitude.

You don't have an opinion of Taibbi, you just have uninformed bs.

Oh? He doesn't hold the business community in contempt? Why then would he say to fuck them?

Don't you just hate it when liberals reveal their true feelings, and you feel obligated to play the "The Liberal Didn't Say What He Said" game?

He holds Goldman Sachs in contempt and isn't waiting on them to provide jobs or any of the other bullshit you pretended he was about. You know, this bs:

Goldman Sachs isn't the business community so you pretty much whiffed 3 times.

Except Taibbi uses favoritism towards GS as a justification for this "fuck the business community" screech in the article.

So we agree that GS isn't "the business community." Now go tell that to ibn Kus Taibbi

So that explains why he said, "Fuck Goldman Sachs!"

Oh, wait...

Say, I found something that illustrates your view of the role of government in the economy:
I am a Democrat because I believe a healthy economy depends on good jobs at good wages. So fork 'em over, you fat bastard boss man.

I am a Democrat because I believe the government should step in to create good jobs when that fat bastard boss man moves my good job to Mexico. Hey, I know! Maybe we can take all the money that boss man spends on non-job-creating stuff, like solid gold yachts and mink spats, and use that money to create jobs.

You really are remarkably stupid, awesomely stupid, some kind of stupidity champion no doubt. I tip my hat and feel completely unworthy in the shadow of your towering and insurmountable stupidy.

But your question is pure crap, a complete waste of bandwidth.

Saying "Fuck Goldman Sachs!" simply does not =
Oh, yes, because the attitude that demands the business community provide jobs despite the left's anti-business attitude AND gratefully accept leftist abuse is so well-grounded. :clap2:

It just isn't at all the same thing, mega dumbotron.

Oh, wait...

I am not a democrat a liberal or even a partisan, Uber stupid one.

Rub your brain cell, talk nice to it, take it out to dinner. Maybe you can coax it into reproducing, you know some kinky cell division!

And please don't bother me with your less than asinine babble anymore. You really are not worthy.
