I can understand that you shouldn't be allowed to harangue someone in the workplace, but you should have every right to voice your opinion. Next you'll be saying that atheists can't tell religious people that there is no God in the workplace. Or religious people can't tell atheists there is one.

That will be harder to prove when you consider that she had just gotten married that weekend but I can see your point. She could very well have been baiting him. The guy had only worked there "weeks" according to the story ... wouldn't they have to prove that she was aware of his beliefs beforehand to prove he was baited?
