The NCAA Basketball Tournament is just weeks away and for many around the World it's time to set up your brackets. I'm not much of a brackets guy. I am more into betting the games. So, to level the playing field, Here is one of the latest bracket projections. It's no the official team placements, but just a prediction. The actually alignments will be made on Selection Sunday. March 17, 2013. Each of the 16 seeds will have 4 teams per seed.

I like this bracket. It matches up well with my target group of wagers. The target group consists of 10 wagers among 7 of the top 10 seeds in the 2nd round. The 2nd round is played March 21-22, 2013 and involes 64 teams and 32 games. I also have a target group for the 3rd round that is played on March 23-24, 2013 with 32 teams and 16 games.
2nd Round target group:
#2 U(avg) if total >134 65%
#3 U(avg) if total >133.7 64.1%
#4 O(avg) if total <142.5 61.5%
#4 ATS when favorite by less than 9 (11-2 past 10 years)
#5 Money Line 67%
#6 Money Line (3 dogs 2-1) 67%
#7 ATS Money Line (favorites 63.3%)

As for leveling the playing field, this is how the top seeds fared in the 2nd round only with 2012 winners and losers omitted. I can tell you that the #1 seeds are 115-1 when 2012 results are included.
2nd round history:
The #1 seed is 1120 against the #16 seed (100%).
The #2 seed is 1066 against the #15 seed (94.64%).
The #3 seed is 9616 against the #14 seed (85.71%).
The #4 seed is 8824 against the #13 seed (78.57%).
The #5 seed is 7438 against the #12 seed (66.07%).
The #6 seed is 7438 against the #11 seed (66.07%).
The #7 seed is 6745 against the #10 seed (59.82%).
The #8 seed is 5458 against the #9 seed (48.21%).
