When did this happen? If the gentlemen felt that filming should not occur their only obligation was to call the police. The clearly assaulted the photographer and should be charged with assault and battery.

I'm bumfuddled as to how on Earth filming could be in any way prohibitted, nevermind how people who are plainly not law enforcement could prevent it.

It certainly does seem like assault. I reccomend you file a police report and if you decide to sue, consider suing the church and this "African Alliance" these men allegedly belong to, along with the men who hit you.
