ObamaCare claims another victim. Keep up the good work, clowns. Keep stomping your feet like a bunch of spoiled brats while the Titanic sinks.

COLUMBUS - One of Ohio's largest health care providers is leaving the state's health care exchange, leaving 18 counties without an insurance option.

Anthem will pull out as of Jan. 1, 2018, so it won't be a choice for people buying individual insurance later this year. The major insurer said it is uncertain about the future of health care in the U.S., as Republicans in Congress work to overhaul the Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare.

Major insurer Anthem to withdraw from Ohio health care exchange

Anthem is the only insurer selling health insurance exchange products in all 88 Ohio counties in 2017 and the only insurer in 20 counties, according to Ohio Department of Insurance spokesman Chris Brock.

In 2018, the move would leave about 10,500 people in at least 18 counties with no insurer.

Way to go dems! Smooth move! Sure this will help you win Ohio back in 2020!

Hear that sound dems? That's the nails going into the coffin. I think the GOP should let the entire thing collapse before getting something different in place and the way the Senate is moving that's damn possible.

And I agree with you 100%!

To stop the politics of the situation, the GOP and Trump have to let it collapse so as anything they replace it with is better than nothing. The TAKERS will understand the concept of getting 2 dollars instead of 20 dollars, if they can no longer get the 20 dollars.

Also, they can then point at the Democrats for NOT saving it earlier, which means they could have gotten 5 dollars instead of 2!

The Republicans really don’t need to repeal Obamacare, all they need to do is threaten to destabilize policies regarding Obama’s Affordable Care Act (ACA).

This will rattle upper management of the insurance providers affected, so they will take their companies and simply run away and hide. This will leave certain state exchanges high and dry and effectively kill the Affordable Care Act in those states.

Most voters, especially conservative voters, are too stupid to associate the actions of providers like Anthem, Aetna, Medica, Humana, etc. with legislatures in red states torpedoing the ACA, when these states refused to expand Medicaid under provisions of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).

Since the Affordable Care Act was first instituted, Republicans in the House and Senate have been eager to steal health coverage from as many low and middle income families as possible.

However, if they are smart, and are able to control their hatred for former President Obama, the Republicans might avoid voter backlash in 2018 by simply allowing the insurance companies to be frightened away by the unknown future of Obamacare and Medicaid.

But the Republicans’ immense hate for Obama makes standing by and permitting the insurance companies to do their dirty work next to impossible for GOP members of both the House and Senate. They want so badly to take full credit for slapping tens-of-millions of average Americans in the face by destroying Obamacare. The thought of this accomplishment makes them giddy.

So, will the congressional Republicans do the smart thing? Not likely. Their conservative, ego-maniacal drive to hurt poor and middle class citizens will force them to press on with the legislation to repeal Obamacare and replace it with their own American Healthcare Act (Trumpcare). It is a promise they made to themselves years ago, plus, they sorely need to fulfill their Republican obligation to the super-rich and enact Trumpcare for the tax cuts it provides the fat cats.

In the end, the GOP at both the state and federal levels will again succeed in hurting millions of average Americans. But, it will be gratifying to know a large portion of those losing their healthcare coverage under Trumpcare are conservatives, who only vote Republican. Karma is a b!tch.

I think you need to read the article. If you did, you would have seen this.

"Anthem attributed the Ohio decision to volatility and uncertainty about whether the government would continue to provide cost-sharing subsidies."

The reason they are exiting is because of Republicans. If Obamacare fails, Republicans will get the blame they richly deserve, They will lose the House in 2018 and the White House in 2020.

Almost all of the insurance co-op collapses occurred while Obama was still president.

Why would destabilizing the policies that caused these companies to leave during the obama administration cause these companies to leave before the administration that instigated them came to power?

This is great news for Dims who want government to take over health care.

Congrats Dims!
